How do you deal with panic attacks?
Mine come at random times when I start thinking about the trouble in my life or how alone I am. I don't call anyone anymore because I do not want to be labeled as crazy or psychotic. Instead I deal with it on my own. I cry and have meltdowns. yes I am on medication. I really like my proponalol rather

Possible Endometriosis?
Hi all, first post here. have been struggling with a lot of ongoing, chronic bowel, bladder and pelvic symptoms for many years, which have worsened recently after going through a particularly stressful time. My periods have usually been on the heavier side, but would always last around 7 - 8 days

Is gluten free food doing us more harm than good?
About twp years ago i went privately for a food intolerance test re my IBS. It was suggested I go gluten & dairy free which I did & continued for over a year. Doing this didn't make much difference to my IBS symptoms so I gave up the gluten free but carried on with being dairy free. But I still bought

[HOME THERAPY] Neurofeedback for Parkinson’s Disease
Hey! A couple of days ago I learned about neurofeedback therapy. There are studies showing that it works. Some recovery centers are successfully using it to treat PD patients (google "oxford recovery center parkinsons"). Today I learned that there are neurofeedback devices available on the market.

Mixed feelings following first GP appointment since PMR diagnosis
Started on 20mg prednisolone mid June, four weeks later reduced to 17.5 mg for four weeks, no problems, reduced to 15mg last Friday. By Monday the pain was back and I was very breathless; when I saw GP face to face, two days ago I was told to go back to 17.5 for two weeks and then try again. I raised

How to Get More Out Of Your Exercise, Walking, Jogging, Running, Cycling And Aerobics With Astaxanthin
One of my more recent experiments was to test a common supplement called Astaxanthin (AST). I only knew of AST as an antioxidant and anti inflammatory via inhibition of the inflammatory mediator Nf kappa B. I had no expectations of what it might do for me, but I wanted to see what if anything it might

Well I'll be damned!
Well, as a follow up to my post 3 weeks ago, I had my Rheumy appt. this morning. She spent ages with me. I told her all my woes, and she thoroughly examined me. I must've have yelped loudly about 20 times 😖 She went through all of my symptoms one by one and said she had come to the conclusion

Omega 3 supplements- increased risk of cardiovascular disease?
I recently read on a Grassroots Health newsletter that recent research has shown that B vitamins don’t work well without omega 3. (I can’t be more specific than ‘don’t work well ‘and I’m not sure there was a reference - but I’ll find a screenshot. I take a B complex So I started supplementing with omega

Zolpidem users: a debilitating surprise awaits at 65
I took Zolpidem (a.k.a., Ambien) for 12 years. Last spring my doctor cut off my prescription without discussion. Around the same time my brother's doctor cut his prescription from 10mg to 5mg without discussion. At same time a fellow employee of my brother had her prescription cut off – without discussion

Egg collection results
Finally the wait is over. The dr called me to give me results for my EC. Out of 4 eggs 2 were matured and fertilised and 1 didn’t make it. I take comfort that I have 1 embryo that is now frozen. It is a 3BB @ day 6, he mentioned the best would have been 4AA just to give me an idea of where we are (this

Painkillers for nerve pain / side effects
I am a 71 yo male with PAF / exercise induced AF, which doesn’t overly affect me too much. I am fairly active and a regular cyclist. Recently I have been suffering with a trapped > irritated Femoral Nerve in my Left leg. This is quite painful at times and keeps me awake at night. I have been attending

Omega 3
I've read that many fish oil supplements are rancid and low quality, but I've also read that the linseed i usually take doesn't have as much omega 3 as animal sourced options. What brands are recommended...

No Alendronic Acid!
So this month's prescription for Alendronic Acid hadn't been done very -unusual for our very efficient pharmacy. Pharmacist explained to me that there is a national shortage and there just isn't any to be had -he has emailed the surgery to request the alternative ibandronate, but they haven't got

sympsom returning
Hello, I just joined the community. I have panic disorder and have been taking lexapro for about a year. A few days ago it seems my symptoms have returned. I get very nauseas and had a panic attack tonight. I end up having very shaky legs and throwing up. Just looking for some support.

it's eating me alive
I'm so anxious about the future, I can't function sometimes. I live with this constant dread in my heart that I'm never going to make it and no matter how much work put into trying to get out of my current situation it will ever be enough. I never get a break from the fear, except when I'm asleep, IF

I realized, I’ve always had anxiety. Even if I do t have panic attacks or feel dizzy. I realized I just cooked better that day, week, or month. And bam. There it is again.
