Arythmia

Some thoughts. I had pretty bad arythmia and ended up in ICU twice in 2021 for a total of 14 days. Now its totally under control and here is what I did:

1) Eat very well, reducing carbs, sugar and eliminate Caffeine

2) Reduce alcohol consumption to a minimum

3) Increase Omega 3 and fibre intake to the maximum level

4) 10km of strenuous exercise EVERY single day before dawn to maintain heart rate ~95-110 bpm for 90 minutes

5) Vitamin E (400mg), C(1000mg) , D(4000IU) and 400mg Magnesium per day

6) Berberine 1500mg per day 500 every 8 hours!

7) Ensure that you consume 4500mg K and ~1200mg Na per day

8) Ensure that you drink sufficient water

9) Monitor your food intake etc with Cronometer!

Be-aware of your posture. Poor posture will cause abdominal compression and pressure on teh vagus nerve which can cause heart irregularities. Ensure that you do not have sleep aponea and if you do (exhausted during the day, waking with a very dry mouth, falling asleep at inappropriate times, difficulty waking up for getting out of bed, require a sleep in the afternoon)... resolve it. Most Sleep aponea is postural and NEVER sleep on your back.

Glad you've found a solution that works. You don't say what type your arrhythmia was. You also don't give us your age. I think many here would make themselves worse with that high exercise regimen, although the HR rates you give aren't that high. A brisk walk for 30-40 minutes a day does the job nicely for me. Occasional interval walking, hurrying, slow jogging to get the muscle working. Did you have sleep aponea yourself? Not just postural I'd say - much more often weight related - but by no means always. Not something I've suffered from luckily. Sleep hygiene certainly sn important factor in AF.

Hello, I could not agree more with you. If I stick to my strict diet, I have no afib. I like your mention of posture. It goes with the importance of diaphragmatic breathing. The only difference I would have, is that I spread out my 10K throughout the day.

Could you tell us more about your medical history? I have not tried the 10km strenuous morning routine, I just do about70000- 10000 steps daily. But I cannot stop my medications, just reduced them!
