Is it over?
I tested using Boots Pregnancy Test Strips on day 10 after 5 day blastocyst transfer using midday urine sample. It was negative. Most likely it won’t turn positive. 😔

TSH non existent after Thyroidectomy
Help …. I was diagnosed with Graves and hyperthyroidism in Jan 22, having my levels go up and down like a yo-yo the endocrinologist suggested having a thyroidectomy. Which I had in Sept 23, after the op I was prescribed 150mcg of levothyroxine, and after 6 weeks a post op blood test, I hadn’t realised

Hello All, Here are my daughters latest results, I’m still battling with GP plus NHS consultants to get anywhere. She has only been off any B12/folate for 5 weeks (she does eat B12 fortified foods) but has been taking iron. Her medical history is low platelets but she obviously also has hashimotos.

switch from compound to Thybon Henning
Morning all, I’m currently on compound t3 IR as I needed to sort adrenals and increase very slowly. I’m still not optimal but when I am, I’d like to switch to Thybon Henning due to costs. Is it as simple as swapping 10mcg compounded for 10mcg Thybon Hemming (1/2 a 20mcg tablet)? Would appreciate

Opinion on my B12 and folate tests, and what are ideal levels?
I got the results back for my b12 and folate a few days ago. My folate is low, so I have changed my diet to get my folate up that way. I can't tolerate any supplement form even in small doses (folate, folinic, folic acid etc). What about my active b12 - Monitor My Health says it is fine, is that right

Methylprednisolone: my experience
I just wanted to post my experience of methylprednisolone IV in case it might help someone one day. I was in a big flare so my rheumatologist suggested IV methylprednisolone once a week for 3 weeks. It all happened so quickly I didn't know what to expect and I had a hard time finding any information.

Breathing and standing!
Hello. A disparate couple of questions for you with longer term experience of PV please? I'm having a slightly uncomfortable breathing symptom. Have had it before but it goes after a few days/weeks and doesn't stop me exercising; it's just unpleasant. Previously thought it was due to low ferritin

Using turmeric to lower high ferritin
These are my latest and I’m concerned about high ferritin. It’s been over range at least two years since taking high doses of liquid ionic iron for very low ferritin. Sometimes it’s significantly lower than this but always over, lately Buddy’s post this morning about high dose turmeric piqued my interest

11yo daughters latest results
Hello All, Here are my daughters latest results. She has been off any B12/folate for 5 weeks but has been taking iron. Her medical history is low platelets but she obviously has hashimotos. Really low FT4 but high FT3 (body flogging itself?), very bizarre. Symptoms: tiredness, lack of stamina, breathlessness

Managing Pudendal Neuralgia pain
Hi all, I joined this forum to remain on top of developments around the complex pelvic floor issues affecting women and to seek support from others. In my experience these are generally poorly understood by doctors in the UK especially at consultant level and there is an absence of multi agency support

T3 Moving location
Good Morning We are thinking about relocating to Scotland - Dumfries area but we’re not sure yet as we’re unaware of the T3 situation I have no idea what the hospitals are like or whether I would get my T3 prescriptions there ? What’s the situation with the medication in Scotland. Thanks in

Terminal ileitis
My colonoscopy found mild inflammation in the TI area which they said looked like Terminal Ileitis. Biopsies were taken but they came back normal. I haven't discussed the results with my consultant yet as I had to give in a stool sample to check the calprotectin level first. It looks like it isn't Crohn's

Reducing steroids and adrenal symptoms
I’ve recently experienced symptoms which made me think of Pred-induced diabetes. In particular, my metabolism does not seem to adjust properly to food, with post-prandial dips and especially waking up at 3-4am with uncomfortable overheating. But my HbA1c measurement remains around 41, which is just

My latest rabbit hole has been the fear and worry over palpitations, racing heart, flutters etc. My worry grows when I read similar questions on this forum, I know so many people have palpitations… and some actually have heart issues, some probably do not , and then there’s others like me - scared with

Help with latest results please for endo appointment
Hi, I recently posted on here and was recommended to get my full thyroid panel done, which I have just done via Medichecks. Test was done at 8am, last dose of Levo 24 hrs before etc.. I have an NHS endo appointment on 24th June. My GP has refused to increase my Levo to date as results are in range. Not

Advancing Prostate Cancer Care: Treatment Approaches to Precision Medicine, Biomarker Innovations, and Equitable Access -ASCO - May 23, 2024
While not a lot of specific focus on PCa (Like at the GU ASCO Meeting earlier this year), this full-access section from their Educational Book released at this week's ASCO Annual Meeting in Chicago may be of interest to those here who want to understand the oncology community's current view on precision

Genetic background strongly influences the impact of carrying the Thr92Ala-DIO2 polymorphism in the male mouse
Are you male? Are you a mouse? Do you carry the Thr92Ala-DIO2 allele? Can you wait for the publication of this paper? Can you wait for the human version of this trial? And do you consider it necessary to wait for the eventual publication of the human trial before considering T3? It is undoubtedly

If you take a small dose of T3 (6mcg) does this slowly build up in your system or will it get used quickly every day?
I’m taking 6.25mcg of T3 for a week now I just wondered if this will build up in your system similar to T4? I know T4 is the storage hormone so that builds up slowly. I didn’t know whether the 6mcg will build up aswell as I was thinking of adding a little more but I don’t want to add more if it’s still
