I’m currently on compound t3 IR as I needed to sort adrenals and increase very slowly. I’m still not optimal but when I am, I’d like to switch to Thybon Henning due to costs.
Is it as simple as swapping 10mcg compounded for 10mcg Thybon Hemming (1/2 a 20mcg tablet)? Would appreciate any memebrs experience if there was any side effects.
I’ve read compound meds are not as good or is this untrue?
Many thanks

I’ve just been catching up with my HU posts and came across yours. In my case, I bought Thybon Henning T3 and, after taking my first dose was up all night with excruciating cramp in my legs (I take my thyroid meds before bed). It was my first and last Thybon tablet. I believe they are made with a different form of Liothyronine which certainly didn’t suit me. I’m now taking compounded T3 by Roseway with only a couple of excipients that I can tolerate. They cost me just under £150 for 6 months supply.
Thank you ☺️ I’ve got compound from Roseway labs too, I have 5mcg and I suppose it’s more expensive at this stage because i take 2 (10mcg) in the morning, 2 at lunch and then 1 (5mcg) at night. I want to get to 10mcg at night and then I will change the dose with Roseway to 10mcg tablets, it will then only be 3 tablets a day rather than 5 and should be much cheaper 🤞🏼
So you’ll be taking 30 mcg per day. I’ve never split my dose except for when I do a blood test. I have been taking 20 mcg but the last lot I upped it to 25 mcg - mine come in capsule form so when I split them before a blood test, I pull the capsule apart into water measured in one of those little plastic measuring pots that come with kids cough mixture etc and use a measuring syringe to pull up the amount I need to take.
yeah, when I up my dose I do it slowly by splitting the capsule too. I pour half the powder into the empty half of the capsule and and tip it in my mouth. I then close the capsule again and take the other half the next day.
