Told to lose weight to have a laparoscopy?
Hi, I had a miscarriage when I was 26 which was 12 weeks and since then a further 4 early miscarriages. I haven't been able to get pregnant at all despite trying for 4 years. I have had endometriosis for 9 years. I was finally diagnosed after 6 years and had 2 laparoscopy surgeries. The first one nothing

Fibroids or Adenomyosis? ?
In November I had an ultrasound scan which showed probable endometriosis (my ovaries look to be stuck together and there are several cysts) and two sizeable fibroids (one 8cm and another 6.5cm). I am booked in for an exploratory laparoscopy and possible diathermy (although that's another story!) in

Lap results?
I had my lap on Friday but when the consultant came to discuss it with me I was too sleepy and he said he would come to explain it later as I wouldn't remember anything. He didn't make it back to see me. I really want to know what was found! I was out for 2 hours but all it says on my discharge is "diathermy

2nd Lap. Numb leg?
Hi everyone. Monday morning I had my second lap. Mainly excision this time rather than diathermy and a biopsy was taken from my bladder to rule out interstitial cystitis. I'm in the usual amount of pain - stayed in hospital for one night but am regretting not staying longer now as my pain management

HI. I had my 2nd laparoscopy on Thursday. My first one was March 2013 where my diagnosis was found. This time, with a different surgeon due to a referral from 1st gynae surgeon who decided I "only had minimal endometriosis when she went in and removed it and cut all the dense adhesions so cannot be in

Okay so I know I am totally in the wrong here... and it is my fault entirely for not persisting with the contraceptive pill after my lap and diathermy to endo I had 3 weeks ago. But I am on a whole new pain level with this period! It's that quiet-dont-make-a-sound-grab-the-sick-bowl-just-in-case kindve

Bladder endometriosis
So I've just had bad news that my endometriosis has returned, judging by the pain on the bladder again and possibly elsewhere in the abdomen. I had a urethral dilatation afte misdiagnosis last time, followed by laproscopy and diathermy to remove what they could, then 9 months of prostap injections to

Does a laparoscopy delay your cycle?
Hi there, I had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago for excision and diathermy of moderate infiltrating endo. I was due on my period 5 days ago, but it still hasn't arrived. I have been experiencing some pelvic and back pain, which I know is normal when you get your first period after a lap but is it normal for
