Hi, I'm recovering from a bowel resection after recent surgery for my endo and wondered whether anyone else had had this done? Thanks
I've been diagnosed for over ten years, have had previous laps and diathermy which worked in the short term. My recent op removed my right Fallopian tube, unstuck all the fused areas, but was complicated by the endo which had gone through my bowle wall causing a stricture. I now have a stoma, and am

Smelly stitches?
Hi all, This is my first post on here. Nearly 3 weeks ago I had a diagnostic laparoscopy and they found endo (booo!) they managed to get some of it with diathermy but the pain is back already so it looks like a 6 month treatment of zoladex is on the cards. Anyhoo, the real question I wanted to ask was

Hello Ladies, has anyone else experienced depression while on Prostap and if so, how did you deal with it?
I've just been diagnosed with endo after my first lap last week, but I think I've probably had it since my early teens (now 43) as I've always had very painful , irregular periods and the last few years have had pain a week either side, as well as during, plus random twinges through the month in my stomach

Extreme nausea after lap with diathermy
Hi all, I had a laproscopy with diathermy 5 weeks ago now to remove endo. As soon as I came round I was coughing like crazy as the tube irritated my throat. Since then I have had a lot of pain in my hips, and extreme nausea. I tried to Hoover after 4 weeks recovery and it made me sick. I can't walk more

I have constant bleeding with mirena coil after a year. What should be my next step?
I have had my mirena coil to help with Endo symptoms since 13th December 2012, so just shy of a year. For the last few months I have had horrific bleeding (massive blood clots, blood pouring out of me into the toilet etc). My average cycle is 18 days. My last period lasted 16 days, then I had 9 days

Hi girls, I'm looking for some reassurance/advice since getting laparoscopy report. X
I had my first diagnostic lap and mirena insertion on the 15th of October, almost 2 weeks ago. After the lap, the surgeon I saw didn't say much, that they had found some endo around the pouch of douglas but they didn't do anything with it as there was too much. I had a lot of adhesions some of which

Can anyone tell me if they had been diagnosed with stage 1 endo but this has got worse over time moving up the stages?
I've recently had a lap and have been diagnosed with endo. I was still a bit out of it after op when surgeon came to speak to me, so not sure of what stage I was classed as having, I couldn't think to ask questions at the time. I remember he said they removed a small amount and left some behind that

First period since laparoscopy
Sorry to keep dominating this page but i have another question! My period started yesterday 10 days after my laparoscopy and diathermy for endo and it's the worst pain I've had in years. Is it normal for the first post op period to be this horrific? Saw a different GP today who was v nice but basically

Hands up if you hate your GP?
Is it just my GP who is completely unsympathetic and unhelpful? Short story is I've always had horrible periods/PMT and always suspected endo but was fobbed off by every GP I've seen for the last 15 years. Then in February I was suddenly really sick and in lots of pain, was passed about between a and

Lap found no endo - feel like everyone thinks I've made it up
Not that I want endo but I wanted an answer to these symptoms: bleeding after/ during sex, agonising left abdo pain (tugging, twisting) which is worse during ovulation and menstruation. This has been going on for years and I've had ultrasounds, hysteroscopy (which was the worst pain I've had in my life

First period since laparoscopy (to diagnose and have diathermy to endo) worst pain I have ever had. Is this common?
Hi everyone, it has been three/ nearly four weeks since my laparoscopy to diagnose endometriosis and then treat with diathermy. Yesterday I literally wanted someone to punch me to knock me out as the pain I was in was indescribable. It was period pain x a million and I am a little concerned as my consultant

Is taking the pill or hormones the only way of stopping endo
good evening I recently had a lap with diathermy and cyst removed and was told I had to have some form of contraception as the only way to stop the endo from happening is to stop the periods. I cant take the combined pill due to focal migraines, and having had depression before cant take the injection

Advice? Help !
I'm 21 years of age was diagnosed with having endo 7 months ago, after being poked and prodded for 6 months prior to this, they diagnosed me without a lap and since have given me a diathermy? (Having cells on the wall of the vagina burnt off), zoladex injection which seemed to ease the symptoms but I

how soon after a lap and treatment can I excercise
I recently had a lap and diathermy for severe endo and a cyst removal, how soon after can I exercise like running or sit ups weights etc? I still have bruising on the outside so I presume it will be like that internally?

14 years and counting.....!!
14 years ago I started the long battle to diagnosis! When I was 15 I had my first laparoscopy & was diagnosed with slight endo. Diathermy (lasering) was not even discussed back then, however, after my op I was put on the contraceptive pill on back to back packets so that I would not have any periods
