Mirena or Cerazette?
Hi all, I had a laparoscopy on Sunday with diathermy of endo on front/back uterus and left ovary and I think peritoneum? It was done by a general gynae so I'm not sure if it will be of any benefit! I need to wait until next year for BSGE. I wanted to try hormone treatment and wondered if there were

Uterosacral Ligament - Is Diathermy the right treatment?
Hi all, First time I've written a post on here. But just been back to my consultant and feeling very emotional, so hoping for some advice. Bit of background - I was diagnosed with stage 2 endometriosis via laporoscapy in January with most removed. I have then had 7 months of prostap injections. Although

The pain is back... already?
Hi all, I'm just interested to hear your experiences... I had my second lap on a Saturday (first found no endo) and endo was confirmed and my consultant removed this using diathermy. However, I'm now in a lot of pain which basically feels the same as my usual endo pain. I've read a lot about diathermy

Intimate gyn dryness tips
This week there have been several discussions on forum about gynaecological dryness. Something of which I have plenty of experience. Last year my local Lupus UK group asked me to write an article for our newsletter, which got lots of appreciation. So, just in case it could be useful to someone, here

My own therapy... my way
Evening fellow endo sisters 😊 It has definitely been a while since I was last logged onto this forum, I was last here in 2014 where I struggled with getting diagnosed. I then went onto having a lap and diathermy surgery for my endo. Had aprox a year totally symptom free .... but now it's back :-( .

Really suffering and just don't know what to do 😟
Hi I was hoping someone would be able to give me some advice as I really don't know what to do! I was diagnosed with endo in 2012 after having a diagnostic lap and diathermy. Was put on cerazette and have been on this for nearly 3 years now but feel things are stopping to work for me. Is this normal

Pre-op in 6 days, desperately after advice please.
Hi all I have my pre op for my diagnostic laparoscopy on Thursday at local hospital. They've said if they find endomitriosis they will burn it off. I am really afraid that this is going to cause more damage. Have I left it too late to be referred to a bsge Centre to have excision, or do I need

Digital ulcer update
Had fingernail removed 3 weeks ago after 8 months with digital ulcer under nail which would not heal. Procedure done under general anaesthetic, pain afterwards very severe, then a week ago it became infected so on anti biotics. It seems to be improving at last. Not sure what long term effect will be,

newly diagnosed
Morning ladies, I had my 1st lap yesterday and am now at home recovering. I didn't get a lot of time with the consultant yesterday so only know the following: mild endo found - the nurse was trying to decipher his notes so we only know it was found on the left ovary and left side of the pelvis I think

Would you find this acceptable???
I just wanted to share (with their permission) this excellent post. It was written by a lady in the US, from what she discovered whilst trying to get good care for her daughter who has endometriosis. Sadly all these same issues apply in this country and are happening all over the UK every day. Obgyns
