Antivirals and covid
hi all I am wondering what I should do if I caught covid again? Am I meant to get antivirals? I work in a health care setting which means I’m likely to come into contact with covid patients 🫣 I’m feeling a bit vulnerable and worried my GP hasn’t advised me of what I should know or be doing? cardiology referral…don’t know why
since covid in 2021, I get a heart rate of 200+ during certain exercises (I am fit and healthy and now scale exercises to avoid this). Previously when speaking to GP they brushed it off as long covid. Now two years later i did running and box steps ups- my hr went to 200+ with some chest tightness. I

Well I never!! I woke to a text message from our GP's surgery to say that I am eligible for a shingles vaccination with a link to book in with a nurse. My GP's obviously looked up the guidelines & though better of her decision! I'm just hoping that after the fight to get it I don't have any adverse

I thought i had recovered from Covid
I thought i was through the worst of Covid as i had been feeling much better overall, but today i did a new test and its still coming up with 2 heavy red lines and now i'm plunged into the doldrums once again. Looking back I believe the 2 years of lock down has changed us, and non-more so than the isolation

Dog bite not on my Xmas list
So… today, while walking my Old English Sheepdog, three dogs escaped from their leashes and one of them bit my leg. They also tried to bite my dog but because most of her is fur they didn’t reach flesh. I, however, went home and did a cursory clean with hydrogen peroxide and went to urgent care. They

Good news or bad? Not sure.
So I was wrong. My PMR is not back like I thought. No, instead I have covid again. I am very sick but my rheumatologist put me on a pred pack to help and my husband just walked in with the viral medication for covid. At least this way I won't go into an adrenal crisis like I did last year when I got

AF and Covid vaccines
I haven’t had a Covid booster since November 2021 (I missed the second booster last November because I had a bypass). With the various new variants knocking around, I’m considering having one at the end of the month when they are issued to over-65’s. However, last time I had a lot of ectopics after the

Has anyone succeeded using bluetooth microphone to amplify patients voice so it can be heard on bluetooth hearing aids?
Hi, My wife (78) was diagnosed with PSP about 30 months ago and is in slow decline. Her voice is getting weaker and I am finding it difficult to hear what she says, much of it is mumbled. My hearing aids are bluetooth enabled, so I wondered if anyone had managed to amplify a patient's voice using

Flu, antibiotics and Levo
I’m recovering from quite a bad flu I’m having to take antibiotics 4 times a day, now this is my question. I’m having very severe headache they are worse after my dose of levothyroxine which I’m leaving the 4 hour gap with. Could it just be the antibiotic hasn’t knocked the headache part of the illness
