Having my first steroid injection today, daft question but where is it injected? SLE and Sjogrens.
Morning All, feel a bit silly asking but as i've resisted the steroid injections all other times I'm not sure how they work! I'm going in for the injection today, to generally help (so i hope) with the constant ache/pain in my legs and arms, also the overall exhaustion. Various other physical symptoms

2 Steroid injections tick
Well I decided to go for the injections one in both feet for Morton's neuromas. I had heard a couple of nightmare stories on them being really painful but it was fine each took about 5 seconds the pain was a bit sharp but nothing really. Still a bit numb but I think they are working I have also noticed

Not sure whether to have another steroid injection??
Just hoping for some shared experience / advice please ... I started mtx in mid August and have so far had 2 IM steroid injections to keep me going until the mtx starts working. I saw my consultant at the end of October and he said that if after 8 weeks from my last injection I'm ok then the mtx is working

The on-going saga my RA
Hi all, its been sometime since I was on here. I must admit I felt a bit of a fraud as everyone seems to be having a worse time of it than I did. However after some 'Spread apart' appointments I have had my MTX and folic acid doses doubled as my RA was particularly aggressive during the winter. I was

Should I have steroid injections in my feet before my 1st Rheumy appointment?
I have got a mortons neuroma (swelling in the nerve) in both feet. I don't think all of my foot pain is all down to them though. The orthopaedic consultant has recommended injections in both of them. My question is I have an appointment with a rheumy 18th December will the injections mask the foot pain

Further to my messages re. shoulder problems, I had appt with specialist today. After consultation & more xrays he has suggested a steroid
injection with more physiotherapy, but ruled out an operation at this stage. Has anyone had a steroid injection whilst already on steroids? I am grateful for any information on this.

Six months on Enbrel and good feedback from Rheumatology appointment.
Hello all, I've had some ups and downs whilst being on Enbrel this last six months, but I would say there are are more ups than downs. To start with I don't have any stiffness at all and my pain levels are reduced. However, I had a bad flare-up a few weeks ago and discovered from the clinical nurse that

Has anyone had problems with the tendons in their hands causing stiffness and trigger fingers especially at night time?
I'm having this problem and has occurred since my transplant a year ago (today). Hands stiffen up at night and have had at least 3 fingers triggering. Had a couple of steroid injections in both hands a few months back which seemed to have fixed things, but it has come back and now need an operation to

Has anybody had a steroid injection that works on whole body that hasn't had a definite diagnosis?
In so much pain right now movement is agony, I was trialled on prednislone 30mg for first week and then 15mg for 10 weeks, which were fantastic pain wise, however got told to stop them and now one doctor at the surgery has told me that I won't be able to get prescribed them again because I haven't been

Hi, I'm new to this! I was refered by GP to rheumatologist sept 3rd and I just had my second appointment on tuesday.
On the first appoinment I had just got back from a month in the south of france and felt quite good, so when he asked questions I gave answers based on how I was that day. He organised xrays, bloods and refered me for a bone scan. I had the bone scan a couple of weeks later and the scanner asked
