Break from ADT or not?
Hi everyone, my Dad was recommended 18-24 months of Lupron/Zytiga/Prednisone after Radiation Therapy. We reached that time and MO said that is up to my Dad if he wants to continue the treatment or not. Lately my dad had high blood pressure over 200 and he ended up in ER, but now the blood pressure is

Prostate cancer treatment and IBS
Dear Friends and Sufferers! I've been diagnosed with prostate cancer and have the option of removing the prostate or radiotherapy with or without hormone treatment. Can anyone out there who has experience of these offer advise on their impact on IBS and bowel function? At the moment, I've got IBS looseness

Hi, I've just joined this online community, which feels like a good start! I was diagnosed with sacral insufficiency fractures following a scan in February of this year. My symptoms - excruciating pain and limited mobility - started in September 2022 only 3 months after the finish of my pelvic radiotherapy

I have had long term UTIs arising post radiation therapy. I also have bile salts malabsorption which causes bowel issues so it’s not always easy to keep myself as clean as I would like and I have been told this is likely to be the cause of the repeated UTIs Up until recently for approx 6 years

Dad with Stage 4 PCa - Need some words of wisdom...again please!
Hi everyone. Just got back from appointment with Dad's oncologist. To keep you up to speed - 3 months ago, his ADT injections stopped working and his PSA started to climb up slowly. Oncologist put Dad on Enzalutamide - been on it for 6 cycles - tolerated well but his PSA has gone from 76 to 87 in one

I'm 8 days away from completing my 45 radiation treatment. The side effects have not been pleasant but now the beam is more focused on the prostate. I am having a problem emptying my bladder and for the last week have been unable to sleep for more than 2 hrs at a time without waking to pee. My Dr. recommended

Ruxolitinib and skin cancers
Hi. I’ve just seen that ruxolitinib has now been approved for PV, which is great, BUT do take care of sun exposed skin. Rux can trigger really nasty sarcomatoid squamous cell cancers , as it did for me, and having an aggressive dermatological condition to deal with (2 excisions, I false alarm excision

Just completed a whole gland TULSA procedure
This was salvage treatment after failure of SBRT by MRIdian in Mar 2020.PSA nadir after SBRT was 2.4 and it rose to 5.3 just 3 years later, when a PSMA scan showed 2 possible tumours within the gland. A subsequent biopsy confirmed local tumour recurrence with Gleason 4+4. Interventional radiotherapy

Back to it
About 5 months ago, I'd got myself back up to running for 25 minutes and I ended up back in hospital. My skin ripped where I'd had radiotherapy and I had to have my implant removed. Another implant was put in but I didn't heal and I lost that. All of this prevented me from running. Last week, I started
