Protein in urine
So i'm wondering, could this be just because of the
statins
or it's just a coincidence that my protein levels skyrocketed in that period of time?

PRIVATE ENDO LONDON/KENT PLEASE
However, the specialist did say that he was sure the
statins
caused the problem but something else is responsible for making it continue.

Cholesterol after statins 2.4
Eg: Is 2.4 with
statins
better than 4.0 without? Not that I know it’s even possible.

Do I have angina? Please help
I also have high cholesterol, not controlled with
statins
, gp just suggested to try get it down with diet and exercise. My resting heart rate is usually low 70’s and my blood pressure is always normal. I am insulin resistant with polycyclic ovarian syndrome but I’m not on any medication for it.

My cholesterol wasn't high in the first place, 5.5 ( they'll only test total) it's now decreased to 4 but I also follow a ketogenic diet now so I think this helps, has anyone else had PAD and decided to come off their
statins
?

Can Plant Sterols/ Stanols trigger epilepsy? (The daily consume cholesterol lowering yogurt drinks..)
I don’t have any medications and I don’t really want to take
statins
if I can avoid it. I started having the cholesterol lowering yogurts every morning, as well as having oats every morning. I have been checking my cholesterol myself annually and its now ‘normal’ at around 5.

Statins & Active Surveillance
New study below. Of little relevance to us, but it's interesting that: "There was a 2% decrease in the odds of adverse pathology for each month of statin use among the men who progressed to radical prostatectomy while on active surveillance". -Patrick https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/30996285 Prostate

Lipid Specialist
I have been seeing a Consultant specialising in Cholesterol issues for two years and have been through the treatment protocol of
Statins
followed by one of the new PCSK9 inhibitors (Praluent) Unfortunately I can’t tolerate
Statins
and have reacted very, very, badly to Praluent.

CLL and worsening allergy but poor immunity
The paper does review evidence for the efficacy of a range of anti-inflammatory drugs including the ultimate anti-inflammatory steroids, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs including aspirin,
statins
, and even points out that Ibrutinib is actually working by counteracting certain inflammatory pathways

Does L-tyrosine lower TSH and raise FT4 please?
After posting "Muscle Stiffness" on here 3 days ago, 5 people commented that my TSH was too-high normal and my FT4 too-low normal, and may help to explain why my muscles are still stiff despite stopping a short 12 week course of
statins
in April 17, 2 years ago.

The Doctor's (and Your Dilemma).
Have a look at this list and tell me my distrust of, what,
statins
is misplaced.
Statins
may have a place for some, but measured against a lifestyle change...? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_withdrawn_drugs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CEV1PauQADY

Risk of cardiovascular events in men treated for PCa.
Medications that improve heart health including
statins
, aspirin, and metformin (S.A.M.), and specific beta-blocker medications are primarily generic or low-cost and should continue to garner research interest.
