HI All
I posted this on here 2 weeks ago
**************************************************
I took a short 12 week course of statins ending in April 17
I stopped because of muscle stiffness
However, despite stopping 2 years ago, the stiffness has progressed
I have had lots of tests, but no answers provided
However, the specialist did say that he was sure the statins caused the problem but something else is responsible for making it continue. But what, he could not say.
SO I wondered if my thyroid function may be responsible for the continuing stiffness?
So, here are my medichecks thyroid figures (all within range) but I would still welcome any feedback
TSH 3.71 (0.27 - 4.2)
Free T3 4.97 (3.1 - 6.8)
FT4 14.2 (9 - 25)
Thyroglobulin antibody 105.000 <115
Thyroid peroxidone antibody 19.3 (<34)
Serum parathyroid hormone 21 (12 - 88)
Thank you

I received many replies and was very grateful for that! Thank you!
What did surprise me though was that 6 people said the same thing
That , though within range, I was having muscle problems because I was hypothyroid and my TSH was too high for a healthy person
And should be under 2
And my FT4 should be in the upper half of the range
Which completely surprised me and got me wondering if I should see an endo privately?
As many have posted that GP’s will not treat if the numbers are within range
So, can anybody recommend an endo who “ listens to the patient’s problems “and treats accordingly?
Thank you all
