Raised LFT due to Statins
Hi all, Had my bloods done last week and was told I had a raised LFT of 96. Had them repeated this week and it’s now at 182. My cardiac nurse wants to drop my dosage of 80mg Atorvastatin to 20mg and the consultant has agreed. My question is, has anyone else suffered this and how quickly does the liver

Ramipril & Asthma??
I've also got fibromyalgia & they've been trying to get me on
statins
years which I can't take with muscle pain already!! Looks like BP tablets not good for me either, I've tried amlpodine can't take that either. Thinking may go see a Naturopath.

New to Hypertension, some assistance please
I also take
statins
, I also have Hypothyroidism so I wonder if I'm blaming Ramipril where in fact it's the interaction of all the meds together? Any ideas please? I'd be very grateful.

When does a pre existing condition cease?
I know I have to mention the
statins
I am taking and a couple of other tablets to keep cholesterol levels down but I did find an article that from memory said “once something has been under control for 18 months it does not have to be referred to as a pre existing condition or listed on your application

Newly diagnosed with variant/vasospastic angina (coronary artery spasm) and worried about the future
They started me on medication (calcium channel blockers,
statins
, nitrates, aspirin etc.), did 1 stent at the site where most of the spasms were occurring and implanted an s-ICD defib on 16 Feb. So far, I have had no further symptoms.

Statins / Periphial Neuropathy
Six years ago I had a series of tests by a neurologist, all negative, and was told it may be due to the
statins
, but it was Hobsons Choice, either stop
statins
and risk a further heart attack, or live with the pain.

Alpha Lipoic Acid and anti-Coagulants
I am on Apixaban,
Statins
and blood pressure tablets. I suffer with thoracic back pain which when it flares is awful, a mixture of muscle and nerve pain. I am only able to take paracetamol which is useless in my case.

My husband has been taking rosuvastain 40mg for over a year. He has progressively become weaker, developed foamy urine & lastvweek woke up with a black eye & spent 2 days in bed. All we get from the doctor is to keep taking the med. He feels so bad he's has stopped taking the drug

Influence of Cholesterol on Cancer Progression and Therapy - Translational Oncology - Volume 14, Issue 6, June 2021
Granted, the initial research was done in-vitro and in mice, but the follow-up patient profile study seems to suggest that there is, at a minimum, a sub-set of patients whose PCa could be made more aggressive by the use of

Does Simvastatin cause onset of Myasthenia Gravis?
The connection between Simvastatin and PMR is established, and I would be grateful for any feedback on the statement below: The use of blood cholesterol-lowering medications called
statins
is linked to a small risk of myasthenia gravis (MG), according to a large World Health Organization database study
