I was dreading these last blood tests as I’d been not feeling 100% of late for no particular reason.
However: I was over the moon to learn that my bloods were ‘normal’. Kidney function even better: sodium going in the right direction and ferritin serum level significantly improved.
just one fly in the ointment: my cholesterol has slowly got higher: 6 today😲. The Gp will re-test in 3 months so I’ve got some work to do if I still want to avoid going on statins.
The blood tests were done just a few days after the indulgences of Christmas so hopefully it’ll be better next time. My CV qRisk is still under 10% so I’m pretty happy this evening.

It’s lovely when doctors tell you that something is working well. I am sure your cholesterol will return to lower levels without Christmas pudding and all the rest.
thanks, SheffieldJane. I was totally not expecting such good results so it definitely lifted my spirits. I’ll start on the cholesterol lowering regime today.
Think I’ll give the rest of our Christmas choccies away so I’m not tempted 🤣
it is always the hba1c test that worries me having been diagnosed with type 2 a few years ago. I got it into remission and control it with diet so always concerned that it may be back into diabetes figures. Fortunately my last one was 36 so I celebtated
I’m wondering if it’s called something else with my lab’s report. They definitely tested for diabetes & the surgery said all my results were ‘normal’ so I’m happy with that.
We’re fortunate here as we can see all our records & results online😄
I can see my results on-line, but cannot get all the information due to the fact that blood tests are not always done by the surgery but by the hospital. I think my information is help on five different computer systems, which do not seem to talk to each other. Also I cannot get my Dexascan results on-line, but have to ask for them to be printed out.
