Unsure how to proceed after flare continues
I wrote awhile back about having a return of PMR symptoms after successfully (over a year and a half) tapering to 5mg and staying on that dose for two months. The weather had gotten a lot colder here in Seattle and I attributed the flare partly to that. I increased my dose to 10mg for a week and had

Hypothyroidism help
I had a thyroidectomy in 1984, to remove benign growths. The surgeon said about 25% thyroid remained, but he thought I would not need subsequent medication. I was not told to have regular thyroid function tests, and carried on with my busy life. After unrelated throat surgery in 1997, my consultant asked

Scoliosis Surgery at 75
I finally went through the Scoliosis Surgery that I had scheduled and canceled a couple of times. I had been on Buprenorphine for over a year and was RLS free. The minute I woke up from my surgery, that ugly monster showed up again. This time I could not even move, much less walk. It started very

laparoscopic 4 weeks ago bleeding
Hello, I had a laparoscopy just over 4 weeks ago & had endometriosis removed from both ovaries. Stopped bleeding about a week after surgery, but have started bleeding again like a light period even though I am on the pill. I have been exercising more like swimming so could this cause it? Feel ok in self

Very relieved .......
I am very relieved to say that the results of the biopsy from my recent endoscopy querying suspected Barretts have come back as negative. All other biopsy also clear. I know I am extremely lucky , it has been a very worrying time and it was such a relief to be able to tell my son as well. I have

How long should I expect to bleed for post lap
Hi, I am just wondering what others experiences were in terms of bleeding post lap surgery? (vaginal bleeding, not from the excisions). Consultant had advised 7-10 days but just wonder what peoples lived experiences have been? I'm currently on day 11 of bleeding since surgery and would like to sense

Amazing same day GP service!
I've been struggling with SOB, wheeze and phlegm for nearly 3 weeks and finally gave in and contacted my GP surgery this morning at 8.30, when phone lines opened. They have a new system, where they sent me a form to complete, by text. I filled that in, giving all the pertinent details of what was wrong

feeling defeated
hi everyone I just wanted to post as I’m feeling like none of my real life network understands I was told by a friend to stay positive yesterday but I honestly have nothing left at this point. I had an egg retrieval yesterday that wasn’t what I had hoped and I’ve generally had a rubbish experience

On-X aortic heart valve thumping noise.
I chose On-X because I didn't want valve failure and have to have another surgery. However, with the thumping sound and a sometimes rapid heart beat, I with I'd gone with the bio valve. So my question is: does the On-X mechanical valve get more quiet over time? I had my surgery in June, 2022.
