Hi all I’ve been reading posts occasionally in here since I was diagnosed with OC in March. I’m 44 yrs old and to this point actively healthy. I’m happily married and have 3 beautiful daughters 18,15 and 7. I had a cyst finding in early February and was referred to an onc gyn. She suggested I get a lap

Taxol and fatigue
Hi All. I apologize if I already posted on this but the amount of fatigue I am experiencing on Taxol (3 weeks on 1 week off) is getting to be a lot. Most days I don’t feel as though I can get out of bed. My palliative care NP is thinking to change my pain meds over to methadone from opioids. She said

Any advice on ascitis?
Hi, My mom was diagnosed with OC at the end of 2016. Had full hysterectomy and chemo and was NED till February of 2018. She received a round of treatments and was cancer free for a few month till November. As she became allergic to Carbo Taxol. she was administered Gemzar, which didn't help and is now

Still with arithmia on Amiodarone 200mg per day as could not cope with Sotalol and Bisoprolol
Trying to get used to side effects of Amiodarone as started one 600 mg per for a week the 400mg per day for next week now on maintenance dose 200mg per day. Is anyone else struggling ? as I am it seems strong and takes some getting used to the side effects

Here we go again!!
First post for a while - I stepped back for a while to concentrate on family, friends and me! I managed skiing, riding, dancing, modelling in the Touch of Teal fashion show, did lots of walking and had a holiday on the Camargue. It’s not quite six months since I finished Caelyx/Carboplatin and my CA125

Riddled with anxiety
My mother was diagnosed about 3 1/2 years ago with high grade stage 3 ovarian cancer. She had optimal debulking done by Dr. Chi at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. She then completed dose dense carbo and taxol. He pre-op ca125 was around 200 and since her second week of chemo it has been single digits

Is Flecainide making me worse?
I’m at my wits end - I have had multiple ectopics for 3 years, recently developing into PAF, and occasional SVTs. Bisoprolol up to 10mg a day probably made it worse, Sotalol 80mg bd did not work, now Cardio put me on Flecainide 50mg bd and Bisoprolol 2.5mg. Thought it helped first day, but then getting

Carboplatin and Taxol - very scared!
Hi, soon I am supposed to start my chemo but I am extremely scared. Some people say it's unbearable, some say it's not that bad. Just trying to figure out some pattern there! Not so bothered about losing my hair but extremely scared of neuropathy as it obviously might never go away. I am a musician and

Afib meds and estradiol
I was diagnosed with Afib about 2 years ago. I take Sotalol and Xeralto. My PCP wants me to go off my estradiol but I still need my estrogen because I tried a half dose and got all the stupid symptoms back like face and hair sweating, night sweats and mood swings. She was trying to ween me off my estradiol

Sotalol causing bradycardia
It has been lowering my bpm as low as 28: and often in the 30-40 ranges, especially at nights, then I go into A Fib. Sitting rate in the 40 bpm range I started taking half the dose and don’t group as low. Either way, full or half dose, I’m in AFIB 2 days out of 4. Taking Sotalol for a year. I believe

Working through chemo
Hi All, I would be interested in hearing from women who have worked through chemo or tried and had to take a leave. I have an extremely understanding manager. I am on Taxol weekly for 3 weeks and then off one week. I just completed my fourth infusion and am progressively getting fatigued. Find myself
