Back to my oncologist this afternoon to hear the result of my scan - anyone on weekly taxol?
Just got home yesterday from doing my scan in time for my oncologist to call telling me he was going to bring forward my scan to which I informed him I had just had it. Well apart from the disorganization, he wanted to know if I had heard from London - to which I had to reply no (will be calling them

Little update
Not posted for a while, though I check in every day! Some of you might recall my posts last year regarding my OH - he had ablation in Nov 2018; he’d been taking Amiodarone which caused lung damage; he had bronchial pneumonia in August; followed by shingles! He’s still waiting for another ablation - Amiodarone

Help. Is it safe to run and swim on Sotalol Hydrochloride. What is safer Bisoprolo or Sotalol
My son was diagnosed with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy in March 2019. He is on the autistic spectrum and loved his running, swimming and cycling prior to being diagnosed. He was fitted with an ICD in April 2019 and originally put on 1.25mg of bisoprolol fumarate. This seem to

Strange side effects
I am currently undergoing chemo for triple negative breast ca completed AC and on 4 of 12 of taxol. Wondering if anyone else has any aches or pain in legs at night from this drug? I also have MS and concerned it might be a relapse but never had any leg issues with my MS.

Nausea 1 week after carbo taxol
Hey all, I'm on day 7 of my first round of chemo and have been nauseous since day 4 when I finished the antiphalactic nausea meds. I took the as-needed anti-nausea meds throughout the weekend but they make me so sleepy I don't want to take them unless I really, really need them. At the moment, the nausea

AFib & Sleep Apnea
Good day all! I have A Fib/Flutter on sotalol & eliquis. I want very much to get off meds if at all possible. In October I had a bad month with several bouts of AF, not my norm. By the end of the month was preparing (mentally) for ablation. Just needed to schedule. Then at the same time I finally

Mexiletine
Does anybody take mexiletine? I’m taking 200mg 3 times daily and sotalol 40mg twice daily. I’m just wondering does anybody have any side affects from these drugs as I’m experiencing some slight abdominal discomfort after taking each dose makes me feel uneasy and wanted to know if this is something I

Just finished frontline and am anxious
Hi All. I am new here. I was diagnosed with stage 3C serous high grade ovarian cancer in August of 2019. Optimal debulking, no lymph node involvement, ca125 is currently 14. Good response to dose dense carbo and taxol. I am not BRCA +, and my oncologist said that I’m a watch and wait as a result. Parps

Some of you are aware that are following me , I had a change in my scan in October they started me on Taxol but that doesn't seem to be working asites after 3 cycles keeps having to be drained about 7liters at a time. It is also swelling my ankles and my legs feel stiff. I saw the oncologist

Scan results mixed 😢
Hi Girls, Feeling scared as after two months off chemo (Taxol) my livers mets have progressed to the same size as they had reduced to after nine weeks on Taxol. My lung and spine mets are stable. So basically it is back to chemo for as long as I can take it. I will move from my Fulvestrant break (with

Goodbye Xeloda, Hello Taxol or Abraxane
Well, I got almost 7 months out of Xeloda, with blessedly few side effects. But my last CT scan showed that liver mets have increased, a lot, so it's time to move on. I would love to hear of your experiences with Taxol or Abraxane. I think I'm most worried about the solvent Cremophor that is needed

I have had some good feed back from lots of you but not about how the increased dose affected me so badly and has anyone else had a similar reaction. Bad pains in chest and neck a really bad shortness of breath, stomach seemed to be rising and falling ,chest very little and panting for each breath ,

Pendle99 : Farewell to Penny
Dear friends, sisters and fellow warriors, It is with a very heavy heart that I must tell you all that my friend Penny lost her battle with Ovarian Cancer last Monday, 20 of January. Her dear husband Johnny was kind enough to call me that day to let me know that she had passed away. He told me that Penny

What to expect?
I have had AF for 16 years, had a pace maker fitted at the start and was prescribed warfarin, and sotalol which slowed me down a lot. Recently my AF has returned with a vengeance, had an episode from pm one day continuing through the night causing an ache in my chest and inability to sleep. Next day

Sotalol side effects
I've had both SVT and AF ablation's. The SVT was from just after I had my first child and was severe. The ablation for that took and I was put on Verapemil (sp?) I had no further SVT and all was well. Then after 30 years I began 11 years of hell that brought me here: total gastrectomy; followed 3 years

Imminent ablation
Got the date for my ablation in two weeks time. I am now terrified wondering if I have made the right decision. It’s the death risk of 1 in 1000 that really bothers me. My af is well under control with only one , very debilitating episode and the odd hour each year. I have been on quite a high dose of

Pain post ablation
Hi, I’m new here and 3 weeks post ablation for AF and atrial flutter. I am on sotalol 40 mg twice daily and so far am not having any arrythmias, just occasional ectopics which I can happily live with. My problem is that I am having regular episodes of chest pain and/ or heartburn, I don’t really know

Clear cell stage 2 ovarian - should my mum have chemo?
My mum had a large cyst removed from her right ovary (which was attached to old endometriosis onto the pelvic wall). Also had full hysterectomy too. The cyst ruptured during surgery and so the consultant has recommended carboplatin / Taxol chemotherapy 6 cycles in 3 week sections. They completed several
