Pain post ablation

Hi, I’m new here and 3 weeks post ablation for AF and atrial flutter. I am on sotalol 40 mg twice daily and so far am not having any arrythmias, just occasional ectopics which I can happily live with.

My problem is that I am having regular episodes of chest pain and/ or heartburn, I don’t really know which it is, especially in the evening. I have been taking ranitidine on prescription at night for years for heartburn, but have read that it can actually make matters worse.

I also find that my chest gets tight when I’m walking and I feel exhausted. I know everyone is different but I really didn’t expect to feel as wiped out as I do.

I don’t know whether I should feel concerned that there is something else going on or that this is par for the course. I would really appreciate hearing from anyone with similar experiences.

Hi have had reflux for years whent to see my dr told me

To try gaviscon woke a treat of my heartburn

Hope this helps

I’m in the early stages of af & have been looking into ablation. I’ve been told by a friend who had the procedure that it doesn’t always work first time & that further ablation may be necessary.
