Leg pain and Taxol
I'm on 3 weekly taxol with 1 week off and this is my week off and I'm still feeling absolutely awful. Not helped by the fact I've got really bad catarrah and a cough. Last night i woke up with horrible nerve pains in my legs. The pain was awful to the point I didnt know what to do with myself. Co-codamol

Living a long time with late stage Ovarian/peritoneal cancer
Hello All... I hope so many people are as well as they can be. It's a long time since I've posted. Mostly, it's because of the grief I've felt over losing so many friends here from the disease and also losing my lovely brother-in-law and my own dear, beautiful sister. Really, I don't want this post

Weekly Taxol with or without Immunotherapy trial
I was diagnosed in January 20I8, had the debulking surgery that same month, refused adjuvant chemo. as I was Stage 4b and preferred quality over quantity of life. 2 years later in April 2020, I got ascites so agreed to have some carboplatin, followed up with niraparib, which although the niraparib

Constant cough and dry thriat
I've just finished 3 weekly cycles of Taxol (hoping to get on the PROMPT trial next/soon), but I've had a constant dry throat and dry cough for about a month or more. Im seeing my oncologist tomorrow so I'll tell him, but wondered if anyone else had this?

Sotalol instead of Flecainide and Bisoprolol
I've been on Flecainide and Bisoprolol for seven years . I have had some dizzy spells in the last two weeks and yesterday I was taken to hospital with a high heart rate (125) and they found a blood infection, for which they've prescribed antibiotics. But they've also replaced the Flecainide and Bisoprolol

Hello,I live in Bradenton Florida and go to Moffitt Cancer in Tampa
I once had two(2 )oncologists. l live in Bradenton and due to the drive to Moffitt in Tampa I once had another oncologist here at Florida Cancer. She once gave me a second opinion about immunotherapy which I was hesitant to try (it was new at the time so I didn't try that) She told me to just

anyone become platinum resistant and on weekly taxol?
unfortunately, Rucaparib hasn’t worked for me and I am also now platinum resistant . We are Looking at alternative treatments , one of which is weekly taxol. Has anyone any advice ? it does sound quite daunting to have chemo weekly . See my last post , I am hoping to be accepted on a clinical trial

Would you say a DOAC is a treatment for AF or not?
Going through the process of applying for travel insurance with Staysure 🤔Not sure how to answer the question on how my AF is being treated. I don't take any medication as such but I do take a DOAC and I have Sotalol as PIP but I've never used it. The options are -long list of eg cardioversion

Post cardioversion response
After 6mth in persistent (continuous) AF I had my first cardioversion 5 days ago. Procedure went well, reverted to NSR and approx 60bpm after one shock and so far remaining steady, though still on 160mg sotalol. However my exercise tolerance is approx zero! Was very weak prior to CV but I can barely

Question about partial response chemo/trial
Hello, Been a while since I've visited. My longtime partner was originally Stage 3c high grade Ovarian in late 2017. Since then, it has been major debulking with 6 months of chemo. And then minor debulking surgery (a couple spots) in 2020 followed by less frequent chemo and maintenance (Lynparza)

Your thoughts/experiences please about a change to a high dose of Sotalol (120mg twice a day).
I have just had my 32nd bout of AF this year but could not shift this one myself (by cycling up a hill) so went to A+E. Sheffield A+E are always very accommodating, despite being very busy, and said that I had done the right thing to go in. The Cardiolology Depatment, where I am a patient, advised

Angry following letter to GP from a consultant.
I received the following letter from a consultant-addressed to my GP- following my aborted angiogram of last week. It’s fair to say that since I read it this morning I have had steam coming out of my ears, not to mention chest pains. I would value any feedback and advice how to proceed: “Mr [..] has

caelyx
Whilst I was on 1st line chemo I was on Taxol and was told not to drive. I am starting 2nd line next week and will be having Caelyx. I have had conflicting information about driving myself to the appointment. ( I hate having to ask for help all the time). Does anyone have a definite answer or

Allergic to chemo - starting rucaparib
It’s a while since I’ve been here but this feels like the time to come back. My first recurrence happened earlier this year, so I started chemo with carbo & caelyx in April. Unfortunately it turns out I’m as allergic to the caelyx as I was to taxol, so by the time they’d sorted out the reaction there
