taxol temperature
I haven’t had weekly taxol but I find that chemo generally can affect the way my body controls temperature ( usually cold not hot). However, you know the rules, any spike in temperature that lasts you should report to your team…sorry! x
Good morning Redbengal,
I am sorry to hear that you are currently experiencing a fluctuating temperature on weekly Taxol. As Lyndy has already said, it is very important to report this to your team immediately using the emergency contact details that your team should have provided you with. This is because a temperature of above 37.5C or below 36C can be a sign of infection and infections can be very serious if they are not treated immediately.
The NHS have some guidance about when to get urgent medical advice whilst on chemotherapy which can be found through this link at the bottom of the page: nhs.uk/conditions/chemother...
I do hope that the fluctuating temperature your are experiencing resolves soon. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is anything that we can help with. Our support line is available Monday – Friday 10am -5pm on 0800 008 7054.
Best wishes,
Cathryn
