high dose sotalol
Strange you've had no replies sotolol. Perhaps if you re-posted and said a little about why you are asking this question, then you may get some answers.

I was on a high dose and after an initial adjustment period I didn’t have any noticeable side effects. Less than with flecanide. X
I was diagnosed with Afib in summer of 2018, which was persistent until a cardioversion in spring of 2019. Have been taking 160 mg of Sotalol 2X a day since the beginning, though the sotalol didn't work before the cardioversion, and for all I know, isn't working now. I don't think I have side effects specifically from the sotalol. I am on several other drugs for high blood pressure, and of course, an anti-coagulant.
Hi Sotalol. I have taken sotalol 80mg twice a day for a year and half. The main side effects at the beginning are blurry eyes but that pretty much goes away with time. The only side effect that lingers for me is cold fingers in the winter. My EP said it was unusual. Overall, it keeps me in sinus rhythm as long as I keep eating a diet rich in potassium and magnesium.
Been taking Sotalol since Jan 2021 with no side affects that I have noticed. I stated with 120 mg 2x then dropped to 80 after an ablation. No side affects.
The best source of information about an medication is the package insert, which now is very easy to read online. Here is the package insert for sotolol. accessdata.fda.gov/drugsatf...
With medications the answers will be across the board. I was on 80mg of sotalol and it brought my hr to low 40s which made me feel like a zombie. Tried to stay on for a few weeks but did not improve - switched to bisoprolol 5mg with no side effects and resting HR in the 50s (so far more tolerable). Always remember that there as usually medication alternatives that might suit you better. Good luck
I'm on 40mg 3 x day and am ok on it. No side effects that I am aware of.
Glad you've had some responses, one person doing so (me) usually leads to others.
Sotalol didn't work for me and I still kept having AF attacks. Must admit I didn't take it for very long. My EP preferred it to Flecainide.
