Permanent AF Again
Morning everyone. I have never posted to the forum before although I do try to read some of the posts. I hope this is OK to post. I have permanent AF and to be honest, it sucks. I was diagnosed back in October 2017 and had several cardioversion procedures, an internal cardioversion, cryo ablation

Anyone with experience with Trodelvy side effects and cold capping to save hair? Also how long did you take Trodelvy?
After one treatment of Enhertu I developed Intetstitial lung disease- ILD. I had high hopes for Enhertu and my oncologist says we may be able to try it again as I had Covid when I got my infusion. However my tumor markers which originally never showed anything skyrocketed so she had me start on

Sertraline and Sotalol
Apologies as I have already posted this on a previous thread, but I think other fellow AFibbers need to be aware of this. I was recently put on a low does of Sertraline (an anti depressant) as a treatment for IBS, as had the most horrendous abdominal cramps that over the counter medications barely touched

Abdominal Hysterectomy
HelloI was diagnosed with peritoneal cancer stage 3c in June 2022 just before my 30th birthday. I had six cycles of chemotherapy with carboplatin only as I had allergic reaction to taxol. Im a BRCA2 positive and responded quite well to chemotherapy. My initial CA125 was around 3000 and it dropped to

Amiodarone - yes or no ?
Hi all. Just interested to hear from any forum members who have used / or are using Amiodarone to treat their afib. To help with afib it seems to be a last resort medication - I understand that it can and does cause bad side effects. However if you can tolerate these it appears to be the most effective

Heart Ablation
Hi, I've had paroxysmal AF for 13 years but recently it's increased to the point where I have episodes every day. My cardiologist has been trying Sotalol at varying strengths over the last few weeks but doesn't seem to be working for me so suggested a heart ablation. Has anyone had this done, can you

Has anyone had all 6 cycles of Taxol/carboplatin before surgery?
My mom's care team is playing with the idea of doing all 6 chemo cycles before debulking surgery. She's finishing her 4th cycle tomorrow. Has anyone else had all 6 up front? Her growth has significantly shrunk and would be operable, according to them. So wondering why this is the care teams's new approach

Why can’t I breathe and move? Advice needed.
I have HF 4 and Hyperthrophic Cardiomyopathy. This year I ended up in hospital as I couldn't breathe or move. My first visit lasted three weeks and I was sent home with new meds but did not feel any better. A month later I found myself in ICU with the same symptoms but with Kidney and Liver problems.

Spirononolactone and Dapaglifloxin.
In my copy of a letter from my EP to my GP he has suggested that I should start taking the above 2 medications. This has not been discussed with me despite a 6 monthly phone call with my EP a couple of weeks ago! I will be talking to my GP about this proposal but wondered if anyone else had experience

beyond 6 cycles
Hi all, looking for some advise. My mum is currently fighting her second reoccurrence with weekly taxol and bi weekly avastin followed by a weeks break. She recently finished her 6th cycle and although her ca-125 jumped between 3rd and 6th cycle ( 15-28) Ct scans show the disease is stable. Her oncologist

Bisoprolol, Sotalol and Coronary Artery Disease.
I had a phone consultation with a cardiologist today and it was agreed that I would have a CT angiogram in 4-6 weeks. He considers that there is a “moderate” probability that I have coronary artery disease. In the meanwhile he wants me to switch from Sotalol to Bisoprolol. I am reluctant to do this as

Persistent AF/Exhaustion
I am acting for my wife who has had AF for a number of years. Her episodes were on 3 to 4 days duration in which time she would be totally exhausted, being unable to function. Just getting to the bathroom would be an extreme effort. Her last AF episode has lasted nearly 4 weeks with the effects being
