Blurred Vision
I have had blurry vision since my MRI a month ago. I do wear glasses, but , I just had my eyes examined before that. Got new glasses from my eye exam and could see perfectly. So, the only thing I can think of , my eyes are blurry STILL....after my MRI.

Spinal cord stimulation
I live in Ireland and saw a pain specialist as I have run out of options to treat my chronic refractory migraines. He is going to implant a spinal cord stimulation as he said it should me a lot and give me a better quality of life. He is the best pain doctor in Ireland and I had to wait 6 months to see

Help hypoxia asthma?
hi 2.5 weeks ago i went into hospital for pre arranged spinal surgery, that went fine but ended up poorly and in icu straight after, then the respiratory ward for 10 days. I had ct scans and things and know my lungs aren’t normal and i’m awaiting further tests. I’m honestly confused at my discharge letter

Hi, Please excuse if I make any spelling mistakes or miss out any words. I had back surgery about 9 years ago for a prolapse disc L4/L5 S1 sadly two surgeries later it failed which still left me in pain with nerve damage. Finally after putting up with the pain my Pain Consultant referred me to see

Wilson’s Disease
Has anyone had their Cerebellar Ataxia re diagnosed as Wilson’s Disease? It’s apparently difficult to diagnose, but the neurological symptoms are similar.

Seroma advice
Hi, I had spinal surgery last September, I was rushed back in hospital 2 weeks later with a back infection. They flushed me out with antibiotics and put 42 stitches in my back. After that I had lot's of e.coli infections until December. Since then I've had 2 MRI scans with contrast and a CT scan.

Spinal Cord Stimulator and PMR pain
After 10+ years of chronic back pain, resulting from failed spinal surgeries, spinal stenosis and osteoarthritis, I finally opted for Spinal Cord Stimulator implant with Boston Scientific System. I am happy to report my chronic back pain has been reduced by 65%. Eureka! All was well, as I continued

Levothyroxine dosing - micrograms per square metre
I keep finding references to dosing levothyroxine based on body surface area. Such as this: The maintenance dose is usually 100 to 150 micrograms per m² of body surface. (Taken from the documentatian for Orifarm but similar is widely included in Patient Information Leaflets, etc.) And there

PD’s Effect on Vision
“We need to remember that no two cases of Parkinson’s are exactly alike. No matter who you see or know with PD, or what you hear or read about PD, you are not necessarily going to be like that or have happen to you what has happened to them, because you are unique and so is each case of PD.” NANCY F.

My brothers battle is over
Dear friends, It is with extreme sadness that I write this. My youngest brother Bobby at age 58 passed this morning. He fought hard for himself and his family for almost 4 years at stage 4. While he was declining quickly, his passing was unexpected this morning. He kissed his daughter and said

RED LIGHT HELMET can cause increased ‘reactive oxygen species’ (ROS) production, according to this study
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33530211/ This study included 18 patients (not mice!) to determine the safety and effectiveness of photobiomodulation (PBM) + hydrogen water (H2), stating H2 may clear additional ROS produced by PBM All participants received daily PBM + H2 therapy for 2 weeks. The UPDRS

I can feel that old fybro feeling again, in 2020 in full isolation from Covid, lack of mobility, developed fybromyalgia [undiagnosed]?
I was never able to be fully diagnosed as I am vulnerably disabled, then lo and behold, I developed a colourful reaction to AZ vaccine,in 2021 which reacted to my schwannomatosis NF3, then slowly very slowly wearing off, with all symptoms of the fibro [not a recommended way of getting rid of the condition

Am I over thinking?
It has been many years since my SAH ruptured suddenly & I had emergency coiling, followed by a stent fitted a year later. Although it was traumatic at the time, for both myself & my family, I have been extremely lucky as I survived the 50/50 prognosis & had no physical limitations. It did take a couple

I'm getting a Spinal Cord Stimulator in Two weeks.
Hi, I'm new here. In 2 weeks I get a permanent SCS implant, and am so excited . I had the 7 day trial application, and to my astonishment, was relatively pain free for the first time in 10 years. Are there any others here with the SCS? My other chronic illness is PMR, which I developed in 2013.
