Our daughter had a
spinal
fusion
for scoliosis in March (she is 15) - she is still in horrendous pain and it will soon be ten months since her operation. They had her on gabapentin for over five months, then amitriptyline and now she is on pregabalin but the pain isn’t easing at all.

After years of doctors, trials, tests, meds etc. it is time to rest and flow with the current
After almost 4 years of posting here I have found it most difficult to write this. My wonderful 57 year old brother Bob has entered Hospice 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately these last three months have been one setback after another. Emergency spinal surgery leaving him struggling to walk, a permanent indwelling

Anti-Malaria Drugs Treat PD?
I am in a new rabbit hole. Somebody over on FB posted that their dad with PD took Ivermectin every day for 8 months and his PD is gone. He is not on no drugs and no supplements. Like all of us, I am vulnerable to these type of grand claims. So I started investigating Ivermectin and PD and so far I

MAOB inhibitors compared : Rasagiline compared to Selegiline
(Quote from paper) Considering the essential difference between the pharmacological spectrum of selegiline and rasagiline,5 the results of the present study demonstrated that the group treated with selegiline as initial MAO-BI stayed without DA for a longer period compared with the rasagiline group;

Selegiline is Neuroprotective
According to the article I will link below, Selegiline is Neuroprotective. I have read some of the actual studies concluding this but the link is a good summary. I have read that selegiline is not compatible with some cold medicines. I have not determined if this would apply to Ambroxol and Montelukast

Our daughter was diagnosed with scoliosis (curve of the spine) in November 2020 and had spinal surgery in March last year. Sadly, the pain still hasn’t eased and we are now almost 44 weeks post op. She has a constant ache across her back and a periodic stinging burning in her left shoulder. Her back

Adjusting Carbidopa levodopa 25 to 100 mg
Over the past several weeks I've noticed jitteriness in the morning and some involuntary movements of my body. I was currently taking 1 + 1/2 Carbidopa levodopa in the morning. 1 Carbidopa levodopa in the afternoon in one pill in the evening. I began to notice these symptoms since the extra half of Carbidopa

Trying to get off Sinemet
Still stuck on Sinemet (100mg levidopa/25mg carbidopa) which augmented causing severe muscle rigidity along with the worsening RLS convulsions. It was originally prescribed over 2 years ago to reduce potential damages to 4th spinal surgery. No one realized it would be so difficult to stop. I tapered
