My ablation was done yesterday .....as promised, here’s my experience 😊
Hi everyone Well.....I had my Cryoablation yesterday ! The procedure took 2 hours......I had local anaesthetic for the groin, and the 2 sedatives, Midazolam and Fentanyl in the cannula, which were supposed to make me a bit woozy but relaxed, so I didn’t fidget ! Unfortunately, those sedatives completely

First AF Ablation this week
Greetings, Long-time lurker, first time poster here. Although I'm in the U.S. I've found this forum to be very helpful. Just for background, I'm 46 y.o. male in good health with no chronic conditions besides paroxysmal AF and atrial flutter. Cardiologist and EP feel that AF/flutter likely precipitated

Atrial Flutter and Cardioversion
I have Atrial flutter (AFL) caused by cardiac surgeries in early childhood and my late teens. My initial diagnosis was Pulmonary Atresia with Intact Ventricular Septum. I developed AFL when I was 28 years old (2014) but I have had recurrent episodes ever since. As a result I've had three cardioversions

I am 60, male, and have had chronic paroxysmal AF and Atrial Tachycardia for more than 20 years. I have had 3 ablations and was lined

Dizziness on beta blockers
Does anyone get dizziness a few hours after taking beta blockers? I am on sotalol now but have been on bisoprolol and atenolol. I thought the dizziness would be quicker than that! Also do you wake up early restless? Thank you

PAF FLECAINIDE AND SHAKING
Hi everyone, I have PAF which was diagnosed in 2010 and has been managed relatively well over the years with firstly ATENOLOL for a number of years then switched by my e cardiologist to SOTALOL also for a number of years. During those years I had minimal AF episodes then in 2016 the episodes increased

HB too slow with Sotalol!!!
I have been on Digoxin and Flecainide plus Rivaroxaban for a year and half. Now my Cardiologist put me on Sotalol (40mg) at night and my RHB is just above 40. Sotalol helps me with my problem of hearing my HB in my left ear due to Carotid Calcification but my HB is too slow now, I think, at below 50.

My flutter story ...
I just wanted to tell my story ... Sydney, Australia: Age 53, previous smoker, overweight and some hypertension. In mid-2019 I started to watch my diet and exercise vigorously, and lost a lot of weight (now 178cm, 90kg, BMI 28 so still a bit to go). May 2020: Felt a sudden strange buzzing in my chest
