Hi, Any body has experienced AF with normal BP but HB, over 100 and to 120 at some time. I'm on Flecainide 50 in the morning and 100 at evening. Digoxin 3x62.50 in the morning and 40 mg Sotalol at night. This time my AF started at midnight and going still now at 3PM. Feeling sick but not that bad to call ambulance. I'm 82 poor me, exhausted.
Heart beating over 100: Hi, Any body... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Heart beating over 100
That is a really strange cocktail of drugs I would have thought. Best have a chat to your doctor I think.
I agree with Bob, that is a very unusual combination. Yes, please check with your doctor asap. How do you feel taking them?

@ Due that the HB sound in my left ear was unbearably my Card add the Sotalol, two months ago, and it did help for that. However, I have been feeling a bit odd with RHB under 50, and then went into AF…still going after 30 hours! (HB about 90). I hope can manage this for another two/three weeks when I’m going for checkups. Many thanks for replying and make me aware about the meds taking.
I really don't think you should carry on all that time feeling unwell. Please call your GP today to see what he or she advises. Say what medication you are taking, it does sound an odd and powerful mix and I'm wondering if you should have stopped one of them. Sometimes having a low heartbeat can cause AF. Please let us know how you get on.

That's me. Sitting in hospital now awaiting a cardioversion. EP hopes it will give me some relief as he cant do anything more major at the moment because of COVID
If you are in AF, how are you taking your bp ? Most home BP monitors are wildly inaccurate when you are in AF
Thanks, Mikee, actually I'm going to my GP tomorrow to have a checkup, professionally, because my Cardiologist says that also.
Here’s something from Google that you might want to discuss with your GP:
“Call your healthcare provider before you take your next dose of digoxin if you have any of these symptoms:
Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of appetite.
If you see light or halos around objects.
Blurred or yellowed vision.
Extreme fatigue.
If your pulse becomes fast, irregular, or a pulse below 60 beats per minute.”
You seem to have described this????
Some people take Sotalol. Others take Flecainide. I don’t recall ever seeing someone refer to taking both. I think Sotalol is a form of beta blocker. They can slow HB and make you feel tired. So can Digoxin.
If you have any doubt about the logic of what your GP says then I suggest getting a second opinion to make sure what you are taking makes sense to a “clear set of independent eyes”.
