HB too slow with Sotalol!!!

I have been on Digoxin and Flecainide plus Rivaroxaban for a year and half. Now my Cardiologist put me on Sotalol (40mg) at night and my RHB is just above 40. Sotalol helps me with my problem of hearing my HB in my left ear due to Carotid Calcification but my HB is too slow now, I think, at below 50. Should I be concerned. Thanks to any one replying.

My EP was not concerned when my HR was in the 40's . I did feel rubbish though. When my HR dropped into the low 30's I was told to stop taking the bisoprolol.

I suggest that you speak to a professional (GP, EP, Cardiologist) and discuss any changes

There are two types of Sotalol, one for the top and one for the bottom part of the heart. Make sure you are taking the correct one. Sotalol can lengthen the QRT interval and sometimes cause flatline which is not good. Read the drug sheet. It is a dangerous drug. My family doctor told me they only lose a few people so it is not worth the hospital cost, at least in Canada, to do as the drug sheet recommends. Apparently, you are not one of the ones. 😀
