The Stoma Begining
I’ve had prior Cancers like Bowell Cancer, Stage3 Testicular Cancer which are in remission and then Bladder Cancer. It was cleared but I was having Cystoscopies every 3mths to ensure the Bladder Cancer hadn’t returned. But what happened the last one which was in February my Urologist found the Bladder

scleroderma and faecal incontinence
morning. I’m struggling with this at the moment and it’s limiting me to what I can do. I’ve seen a surgeon recently who mentioned a stoma as a last resort but I’m not sure about it. I’m not suitable for a rectal stimulator. I’m using pads and loperamide but wondered if anyone else has a similar problem

Night only output!
Hey, newly installed loop ileostomy (2 months), and having a lot of troubles with eating still. Was advised to eat small portions of soft food for a while before getting more ambitious. This was going well, fairly consistent output from the stoma after eating until it wasn’t. Now digestion seems like

Bowel endo surgery
I was diagnosed with endo via lap four years ago. At the time i had an endometrioma removed but they left some endo (including a nodule) on my left uterosacral ligament as it was too close to the ureter. I also had mirena fitted at the same time and discharged straight after the surgery. Although there

Life After Colectomy - Colon Resection
Hello. Can anyone tell me realistically their experience after colectomy- colon resection surgery? I have been offered a left hemicolectomy and want to know what the true recovery is. Surgeons are minimizing the recovery and say once healed you will probably not notice anything. I have a hard time

Stoma refashion
I have a stoma since birth from hirshprungs that left me with a permenant colostomy. I have been told surgery for the stoma 23 years later as it had started retracting in 2014 but nobody would help. My skin has also seperated from the stoma also leaving a large wound. This will be my first surgery understanding

Stoma reversal
I have just had a liver transplant and went back for my first check up, everything is going so well so far. While I was waiting for my liver transplant I had an emergency Stoma surgery and had a bag fitted, the surgeon that gave me my first check up for my liver said in about six months or so they will

Anyone with endo going through IVF/DEIVF?
I was diagnosed with stage 4 endo back in jan 2015. Since then we went through IVF in early 2020 and had complications with egg collection puncturing my endo cyst and causing an infection that spread to my bowels. Long story short I had to have a stoma for 2 and a half years and removal of my ovary,

Stage 4 endo with adynomyosis- sub hysterectomy, please advise on it
Hi everyone. I have been diagnosed of endometriosis via laparoscopy in 2018. I never had any issue other than couple of days of painful period until September 2022, when I started experience excruciating pain during my period (7 to 10 days) and pain on my ovaries and lower back along with constant bloatiness

HRT after Endo and full Hysterectomy
Hi 2 years ago I had a full hysterectomy following having stage 4 endo which was everywhere but mainly 15cm chocolate cyst on my ovary and stuck to my bowel. Resulted in me having bowel surgery at the same time as my hysterectomy with a temporary stoma. I had a 3 weeks stay in hospital with complications

Ostomy Bag Gone Amuck
My Hollister ostomy bag pancakes on stoma and prevents bag from operating properly. Hence it blows up and comes apart in the most inopportune times. My hernia prevents me from putting the bag on properly. I need help from someone else. Does anyone have these problems?

I have just woken up properly from surgery, I’ve been out since 4pm (I think) on and off. I’m not currently on any painkillers (that I know of) and I feel fine. My surgery was a bit more complex, because of being diabetic they had be come in the day before. Not going to lie, fasting was AWFUL. I am

Anxious about radiotherapy
Hello everyone. I’ve just come back from seeing my oncologist and am feeling flat and anxious.
