Magnesium supplements
Hi, I've seen a few posts on here saying about taking magnesium taurate supplements. Just wondering which one's are good to take as there are so many different one's. Also did you check first with your GP/cardiologist before taking? Thanks 😊

Best magnesium dosage
I have been taking Life Extension extended release magnesium (as ZumXR magnesium oxide, magnesium citrate) 500 mg (2 capsules of 250 mg each). I understand from Daphne’s Facebook group that Mg Oxide is not recommended. I intend to switch to Mg-1-threonate. Does anyone know what dosage of Mg-1-threonate

Magnesium Use
This article from Dr. Westin popped up in email about different forms of Magnesium. A huge thank you to all the people who gave me such good advice! My FT3 is slightly up and my FT4 is slighty down, result! Going in the right direction. My Vitamin D is improving, I will continue to use BetterYou sublingual sprays (D3+K2) for this, and magnesium. My Vitamin B12 hasn't moved much,

I am in the throws of reading Chris van Tulleken's book Ultra-Processed People. It has been an eye opener. Not that one hasn't been aware of the harms of processed food but perhaps one has been unaware at how extensive it is and also how seemingly malicious for corporate gain? What does come out is

Withdrawing from medication.
I have had RLS for many years lately. Originally I was prescribed Sifrol 0.250mg and later reduced at my request to 0.125mg, due to feeling drowsy in the morning. 0.125mg has worked for many years along with plenty of exercise and taking magnesium. About 7 years ago I weaned myself if Sifrol and had

Advice on non-medication treatment of RLS required
I'm afraid I haven't posted for a long time! I am 74 and my symptoms have become more severe, causing real loss of sleep. A neurologist I saw recently wanted to put me on dopamine-agonist patches which I refused, tho' I am following her recommended course of B12 injections. I've had 9 of the 12 jabs

Advice about recent NDT thyroid blood tests and high SHBG
Hi there! Is there any connection between high SHBG and taking NDT thyroid medication? I've been feeling better than ever on my Erfa thyroid medication and I don't feel over medicated at all, but I had high SHBG. My estradiol also seems high. I've read that one reason for high SHBG can be hyperthyroidism

Hi allI have been feeling ropey,v lethargic and a bit slow for a few months now, despite increase in Levothyroxine. I had attributed this to constant blood loss(months) following HRT which didn't suit me,however this stopped 2 months ago. Previous blood tests showed haemoglobin on the low side so have

Hi, I was reading the other day that magnesium supplements help with implantation but now seem to have lost that post. Can someone guide on the above and suggest any magnesium supplements they have been using? Thanks

Exemestane side effects?
With a great deal of effort, I managed to get my exemestane switched back to the original generic. I still have diarrhea, but not as extreme with the other generic. My oncologist thinks it is not the exemestane that is causing it. She says it is "not usual." It says it is a side effect of unknown frequency

Insomnia - Could nightime liothyronine exacerbate it?
Hi, I've just read: https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/148510755/liothyronine-brands-and-insomnia. As ever the answer seems to be "it depends"! Some better on or off lio, some better at bedtime or on waking, etc. My sleep pattern is (roughly) one half-decent sleep followed by an utterly awful
