I stopped taking CARNOSINE supplements because I became aware of the possibility of hydrazine contamination.
I stopped taking CARNOSINE supplements because I became aware of the possibility of hydrazine contamination. Hydrazine is a toxic chemical that has been used in the synthesis of carnosine. I previously was quite excited about the supplement carnosine. It is a small polypeptide which, if I recall correctly

Levothyroxine causing hair loss??
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism at the end of August last year and was put on levothyroxine (50mcgs every other day). My TSH levels were crazy - it was 36! Around October time, I started noticing my hair falling out. It was only a bit in shower. I didn’t have any issue with hair loss prior to

New to RLS…confused, frustrated and a bit frightened.
I was diagnosed with RLS which started shortly after after 2 emergency surgeries I had in late 2021. I assumed I might need iron supplementation, (as I had some blood loss) after reading about iron and RLS, and so I requested a ferritin level check-up from my clinic. It was 31. Questions about Montelukast and Metformin
I tried to find the answers by searching meds that aggrevate RLS but couldn't find an answer. Do the above cause any RL problems? I am trying to be so careful about anything, over the counter or prescription, that I take now. I will have a full blood panel (ferritin) checked for first time on Monday

my doctor ask me if I would be interested in going into phase 3 clinical trials for macular degeneration gene therapy. Has anyone on this forum been in a clinical trial or what is your opinion?

Hi All! from reading your posts it seems like a lot of you are self medicating for many of the same reasons as I am. I was diagnosed with ME and Fibro and all blood tests came back normal for thyroid. I go in and out of deficiency with Folate, B12, Iron and vit D, however they are currently all at

Can we purchase T4 in UK without a prescription?
Could somebody PM me please regarding the above. I have developed a few issues over the past 2 months since changing to Bitiron and think I would probably do better to take thyroxine separate with a small amount of liothyronine. I swopped from Thyroid S to Bitiron in October because it just didn't

Medications for RLS recommendations
I have ALMOST transitioned off pramipexole with severe DAWS. I had been taking 3 mg every day. I believe this to be an unusual high dose but my neurologist ( not the doctor that ordered the high dose of pramipexole) says the maximum dose for any patient is the highest dose for the patient without

Hi everyone, I’ve had ID anaemia (microcytic hypochromic) for over 20 years and was told by a GP many years ago that this was due to malabsorption. I’ve had hypothyroidism since 2014, long covid for the past 2 years, and a vax injury from March 2021 that is only just being investigated by rheumatology
