Alk Phosphate going up after third Radium 223
hello all. Husband dx in 2017 with 489 PSA. So far we’ve done Docetaxel, Xgeva, Zytiga. Currently on Xofigo (Ra 223) it knocked the Alk Ph way down then after the third treatment it went up a few points. Has this happened to anyone? RO suggests doing 4th treatment then PSMA scan to see if there’s

Newbie looking for advice on recent test result
I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid in april 2022. What a rollercoaster! Do I have an autoimmune thyroid disorder? My first test was looking at reason for a change in bowel movements and fatigue. Doctor responded directly to the TSH level and placed me on 25mg levothyroxine. Serum

imodium and buscopan
hey guys just wanted some general advice on taking imodium as well as buscopan? Imodium for the diarrhea and then buscopan for the cramps? (I am also on Amitriptyline 10mg) would all these together be too much? I seem to manage the diarrhea but recently I am getting more cramps too which don’t subside

Beta Blocker (Bisoprolol or Propanolol) for long-term management of high-BP?
I have consistently high-BP, which I've had for many years. The problem I have is with the Systolic (which consistently comes in the 140s or 150s range, which is considered too high nowadays). My Diastolic has always been fine. I currently take a Calcium-channel blocker (Verapamil), a Angiotensin-receptor

Massive Headaches During Dialysis
I really need some help if there's anyone who can help. I am a "complex patient" who has Crohn's disease, bowel resections as well as ESRD. Chronic anemia too. Unlike most dialysis patients I have low magnesium, low potassium, low sodium. The headaches I have are excruciating. I take 4x 500mg

Bottled water for baby?
Ok so I live in a hard water area and the limescale is so strong, it's horrible. I put water into my baby's bottle and it has a white dust settling in the bottom. It's so cloudy when I shake it. It makes me feel like I'm giving him dirty water. I want to know if any mums out there give their

Which Magnesium?
Hi all, I've been taking a Magnesium Citrate supplement for well over a year now (got a good supply) and originally started it for heavy, restless legs and sleep problems. I have now come to the end of my supply and 4th day in, without it, the symptoms I've described have re-appeared! My question is,

Eating tip
for those who can’t eat too much. I recommend a smoothie first thing in the morning. my smoothie contains: fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries, lime or lemon juice, honey and milk. I also alternate between banana’s and avocado. hope this helps someone.

I’m pretty new to this group but am very grateful to be part of this forum. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis in 2017 and started sodium risedronate around 2018. I took it until about 4 months ago when my Endocrinologist took me off to put me on Prolia, which she assured me had no contraindications

ROPINIROLE IS THE DEVIL FOR SURE!
First developed RLS years ago, but didn’t even know it was a condition. I thought I was simply going off my head, until a nurse in hospital noticed the uncontrollable violent thrashing id do with my right leg (initially). She told me to go to GP when I was discharged and tell him about this unbearable

Recalls, Market Withdrawals, and Safety Alerts
I was searching for something else entirely when I found a recall for Magnesium Citrate I had bought last week and never used THANK GOODNESS ! The thing is, I looked in 3 stores (pharmaceutical areas) before I found this one, last bottle at a local Kroger. Fortunately, I did not open the bottle

Private testing - how to decide which tests? Resume supplements?
I'm so happy to have found this forum! Looking for some advice please on private testing. I suspect my thyroid function and possibly adrenal health has been poor for quite a long time, probably declining since late teens (I'm now perimenopausal, at 47 years old). My worst symptoms include brain fog

Blood Protein May Help Predict Diabetes, Death From Cancer— Prostasin commonly found in epithelial cells of organs - MedPage Today, 08/04/22
MedPage Today article about a blood marker I've never heard of, but one that might be worth getting done. Then again, as it seems to predict lifespan, maybe like the Horvath Clock (see link below), a case where for peace of mind it is better to live in the constant state where, at least for some things

Metabolic Acidosis
Hi there I have a current GFR of 11. I am 27 years transplanted with my first kidney. I have metabolic acidosis as one of my problems. I was wondering if it causes any of you leg weakness. Some days I feel like I am walking through treacle. My legs are like jelly. Today I am like that. I am on sodium
