My IBS
Hi guys, I’ve just joined and wanted to know how other people’s IBS effects them. I’ve had IBS all my life and it’s got worse the last few years to the point of going 10 times a day (on a good day) and I’m basically addicted to Imodium (Loperamide Hydrochloride) to help me go through the day. Post ablation issues
Hi, I am now just over six weeks post Cryoablation, and I am still experiencing episodes of chaotic rhythm on a daily basis 😩 They seem to be more frequent now than at the beginning when they were just occasional, every couple of days or so. They dont usually go on for long (although I have had some

Here's our story
According to my husband's GP, Urologist and now, Oncologist, he shouldn't be at Stage 4 with multiple metasteses (skull, scapula and ribs). Just this past April (2018), his PSA reached 4, and his GP said that is was going up more quickly than he liked, and suggested we visit a Urologist. The Urologist

Lo Salt and equivalents
Hi, If taking Amlodipine and Candesartan to control high blood pressure, is it OK to take "Lo Salt" (the container says 66% less sodium than regular table, sea and rock salts) or the other low salt equivalents available on the market? I asked the GP but he never heard of it! When I explained what it

Maybe I shouldn’t post OCALIVA side effects. I’m hoping everyone here knows them
MEDICATION GUIDE OCALIVA (o-CAL-eh-vah) (obeticholic acid) tablets What is the most important information I should know about OCALIVA? If you have primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) with advanced cirrhosis, you may need a lower dose of OCALIVA. • Before you start OCALIVA, and during your treatment

Plant based diet
Hi All, I have been reading these posts for a while now. I am in stage 4. I’ve been watching my kidneys since I had stones when I was 19, am now 55. My one kidney was only working 50% then. That kidney has shriveled up to nothing. Never had anymore stones. Always just thought it was just the one kidney

Hi everyone! I'm in the early stages of ckd and right now I'm really trying to wrap my head around what I should be eating to be as nice to my kidneys as possible. For the last year or so I've been under the impression that the most important thing is to stay low in protein and to keep full eat more

Some More Info on Odd Things That Can Cause or Aggavate Anxiety & Depression
I'm still on potassium, magnesium
citrate
& Vit D-3. High
sodium
intake is an aggravation to the whole situation. But, I'm working on it and I'm spreading the word. As I say, a blood test for nutirient levels in your body should be a must.

Husband in coma cardiac arrest, 20 min anoxic brain injuries. He’s opening eyes but staring at ceiling. No communication.
How long will this stage last? Induced coma 10 days , it’s now 3 weeks , off sedation but on meds for ; seizures and agitation ( sodium valproate) , bp meds, and insulin . He sleeps most of the time and when he wakes it’s for a short while and doesn’t track with his eyes. He looks as if he is in

Sodium oxybate, thyroid hormone and sleep
Sodium oxybate (which is the sodium salt of gamma-hydroxybutyric acid) is used as a last resort medicine for sleep problems - under expert guidance only. I have just come across a personal report about the interaction between sodium oxybate and levothyroxine. If anyone is interested, I'll post more

What should I do now???!! PLEASE help!!
My dad is still sitting in the hospital in ORMC in Orlando health since LAST Tuesday. His tests have not come back confirming or denying leptomeningeal. They say it’s still a mystery. He looked and talks like he has had a stroke which I’m wondering, however he is not confused and is alert as normal.

Newbie introduction
Hello all, Just to give you a bit of personal history. I had my first incident of AF 5 years ago at the tender age of 36. I was cardioverted electrically and that sorted out my rhythm and pulse rate. I was then referred to a cardiologist, had echocardiograms and other blood tests. The cardiologist said

CBD oil for IBS and anxiety - Day 4
I've been wanting to try CBD oil for a while now but wasn't sure where to start. A friend of mine who has Crohn's disease gave me some advice and recommended a website to me where she gets hers. I bought a bottle of Full Spectrum CBD oil (tincture) for about $30 and free shipping. It arrived quickly.

Low/falling sodium levels?
One thing the hospital cannot get a handle on since Tuesday is his sodium levels. On 9/7 and 9/27 blood work at Moffitt his sodium level dropped on both to 131 from 139 previously. At the hospital after the seizure his sodium was critically low. His sodium today is 126. Normal is 135 or higher. Below

Advice on Hyperparathyroidism
I wonder if anyone out there can give me some advice please. I started having episodes of palpitations around 2 months ago - with sometimes (I suspect) atrial fibrillation. The worst episodes of atrial fibrillation have taken to to A & E, where it was discovered on the first visit that I had raised calcium

Emerging cell cycle inhibitors for treating metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer.
New paper below. As someone who believes that halting cell cycle progression can be almost as good as inducing cell death in PCa, I was interested to see a paper on the topic. "Review of the current literature identified cell cycle inhibitors under study in early phase clinical trials targeting the G1
