Spotting - ovarian cancer
I have stage IIIb ovarian clear cell, and I had my first chemo infusion 10 days ago. I've just started to feel a little better after all the side effects. A worrisome new symptom has come up today (Sunday), which was a little spotting when I went pee. I had a total hysterectomy in September, and I can't

Provenge update
Looks like I may be starting Provenge immunotherapy soon, although I'm still being evaluated for castrate resistance. I finally found a local clinic to administer it (although I may have to go to Orlando to have the blood drawn each time). Interestingly, it is being done by a Urology clinic. Apparently

Just wanted to share my Primary Myelofibrosis journey so far…….
Hi all, My diagnosis is Primary Myelofibrosis +Jak-2 &V617F mutation which was in August 2022. This was found after several visits to GP for chest infections and ultrasound scans which found an enlarged spleen. Also had bloods and bone marrow biopsy sent to Bart’s hospital for confirmation. Initial

I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma on my chin today.
Presumably this is a secondary tumor from my CLL. The problem that I am experiencing is that the tumor has been left to grow for quite some time. The last time I spoke with Dr Fakhri at Stanford was 5 months ago, and she was happy that my CLL has been so stable. I noticed something growing in my

Radiation and CA125 increase
I had surgery last November to remove a large tumor along with my ovaries (already had a hysterectomy). In June, a CT scan showed the lymph nodes in my pelvis were growing and a biopsy confirmed that the cancer had spread (or was there all along). I started radiation therapy and had bloodwork done

What treatment for brain Mets?
Well, now I know why my markers were going up but scans looked stable; MRI showed Mets in my brain while PETScan didn’t pick up the brain lesions. I will be seeing a radiation oncologist to cyberknife some of the Mets. Not sure if he can treat all of the lesions, so wondering what other therapies (

RT with ADT Relogolix (Orgovyx) vs Enzalutamide (Xtandi) Side Effect Differences?
There may not be a lot of people that can offer anecdotal reports on both as monotherapies but the reason I ask is some studies in the last 3 years are showing administration of Xtandi during Radiotherapy has shown outcomes as good as if not better than RT + ADT. https://www.sciencedirect.com/science

Bone metastasis drug looks good: phase 2 trial of PT-112 gave good results
"Further, PT-112 harbors a property known as osteotropism, or the propensity of the drug to reach its highest concentrations in certain areas of the bone, making it a candidate for treatment of patients with cancers that originate in, or metastasize to, the bone." https://www.biospace.com/article/releases

Tumors Shrinking!
Brave Bold Cancer Thrivers, I am ER+, HER2 negative and I, finally after four months, have an oncologist I just love (she's so thorough with everything and very kind and caring), and my treatment is working! I am on Ibrance and letrozole and in only 2 months majority of the tumors have shrunk in half

Starting treatments
Had a setback due to being hospitalized in the ICU for a month and a half. Went to the Oncologist last week and about to start some aggressive treatment as I have a very aggressive prostate cancer. The oncologist on duty at the hospital had an MRI done to show where the metastasized bone cancer is located

Started hospice
My dad has had a significant decline over the past three weeks since seeing my dad’s oncologist. We had a petscan that showed an advancement into three new bones and the old cancer that was “sleeping” has woken up. Zytiga never worked. About two weeks ago my dad started sleeping 15-20 hours a day
