Minor change in psa - reason to be concern?
Hi, My dad just got an update on his PSA #. 3 weeks ago his PSA was 0.37, our family went on vacation, and he just got back and had his blood work done again. All enzymes normal, but PSA ticked up slightly to 0.47. Is this concerning at all? I thought PSA was suppose to trend to undetectable levels

UBX-103: potentially first in class AR degrader
keep an eye on this (help me I am running out of eyes!) an AR degrader really aims at destroying AR receptors, the idea is that when a second generation arsi is no longer working (Enza, Daro,…) you still have the option to use this new drug for metastatic prostate cancer https://www.biospace.com/article

Introduction and asking for help interpreting latest scan results and thoughts on future treatment plan please.
Long time reader but first time posting.. I have just received my latest PSMA PET-CT scan results and would like some help interpreting the results and gain your thoughts about situation and treatment plan. My overall history: After slowly rising PSA scores to a relatively low peak of 6.1 at 59 years

Psyllium Husk
Hi, had another flare up yesterday, after being reasonably ok for the last 3 weeks = I've really cleaned up my diet and yesterday was the result of a day out with friends, tea and cake and a slice of quiche. So difficult to find anything I actually enjoy eating at home, let alone at a restaurant.

Treatment awaited
Hi all I just completed my history incorrectly as a post. I have not posted before as I have been a silent member without any worrying ongoing elevations in PSA for about four years. I have keenly observed the posts of members and learned a good deal from them. This post is the follow up on my history

Low baseline testosterone and link to overall survival in advanced prostate cancer.
My husband’s baseline testosterone levels came back at 202. Is there a correlation between low baseline testosterone and overall survival after treatment for advanced prostate cancer? There seem to be inconclusive studies and often opposite results on the topic. So any insight would be appreciated.

Update on Treatment
In June 2023, a routine PSA test value turned out to be 4.6, did an MRI; Diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, Gleason Score 7 (3+4), biopsy said one core. (Details in my profile). Opted for Active Surveillance. But in Oct 2023, PSA level went to 6.1 and in Jan 2024 PSA went to 9.2 In March 2024, did another

I don’t really know what I want from this post only that it’s nearly 2am and I feel completely broken and wanted to put it down somewhere. I feel like I am breaking and I don’t want to upset anyone else with my worries, because they are worrying to and I don’t want sympathy from people I love because

Cancer Metabolic Disease and Focal Therapy advances are viable.
Focal ablation laser can be successful, for early stage PCa. 10-21 . GLEASON 3-4 , 5% PSA , 4.7. After treatment. No major erection issues long term, no need for tadalafil. PSA steadily declined. Recent MRI clear 3-24. and my ejaculate ducts were saved as well. PSA 0.4. So so far so good. Get an 2nd

Varying results on FIT tests
I have had IBS for decades so thought I had just been having a bad flare up of that for the past month. Stools were very dark but no visible red blood. I took a home FIT test one day to make myself feel better (it didn’t) and it quickly came up positive. Hoping it was faulty test, I repeated the next

I had an appointment with the gastroenterologist last week and she has advised that I have IBS-C. Previously she advised I had SIBO and was prescribed rifaximin. That antibiotic did not solve my problem. I am suffering with excessive gas, trapped wind and bloating. I have been on laxido for around
