Minor change in psa - reason to be concern?

Hi,

My dad just got an update on his PSA #. 3 weeks ago his PSA was 0.37, our family went on vacation, and he just got back and had his blood work done again. All enzymes normal, but PSA ticked up slightly to 0.47. Is this concerning at all? I thought PSA was suppose to trend to undetectable levels so a bit concerned when I saw a .10 lift.

He is currently on Eligard (March 26, 30mg every 3 months) and Abitaterone ( May 15, abiraterone 1000mg with 5 mg prednisone). He will do radiation in September.

Any insights on whether he should connect with his doctor? These results are just posted on his online chart at them moment.

thanks!

Give the abiraterone some time to have full effect.

I had similar test results in my early days with Abiraterone.

Went from .42 to .52 and it really spooked me.

MO told me to calm down and let the drugs do their job.

Next test was .04, then followed by multiple <.04.

Listen to Tall Allen and give the Abiraterone time for full effect.
