Newly Diagnosed Breast Cancer
I'm new to this website. I'm very scared right now after learning I have DCIS in situ. My MRI has shown a little more breast cancer involvement, so the specialist says treatment must be a mastectomy, not a lumpectomy as originally thought. Although I feel if I must trade a breast for my life, it's

Difference Between Multiple Sclerosis and Devic's Disease
Often there is a confusion of concept about the difference between Multiple Sclerosis and Devic's Disease (neuromyelitis optic) by patients, and often by doctors at the time of diagnosis. Watch our video and better understand the difference between these two diseases. The video is in portuguese, but

Hello Everyone It has been nearly a couple of years now since I discovered I had PMR then a few weeks later GCA and I am happy to have tapered down to a now 'respectable' 12 mg with less expectation of any horrid (new) 'side effects' cropping up. Generally speaking I have been feeling much more like

Stopped Mirapex, started hell!
I stopped taking Mirapex about 4 weeks ago, I had a compulsive gambling issue linked to the Mirapex. I was on Mirapex for 15 years, started out on 1 - 0.25mg at bedtime, it was like a miracle. Over the years my Neurologist, who has very little experience with RLS , would just up my dosage as needed.

Time for a change
I have the BRAC 2 gene and have had a mastectomy and full hysterectomy to give me the best chance at a long and health life but realised that despite having major surgery I haven’t got my backside up off the couch and am so unfit - it dawned on me how ridiculous this was. So here I am on day two and

Excessive sleepiness
Hi friends My mother who is 75 was diagnosed with PD in 2004. She was on Syndopa plus 4 a day for past 4 years (with no major symptoms) , untill few months back when she started feeling extreme fatigue. Her neurologist increased her dosage to 5 and half tables in a day and a syndopa CR in the night.

Finally an improvement.
It is now over 8 years since I had a total Gastrectomy and finally I'm enjoying my food with no ill effects. Gone is the dumping syndrome, reflux etc. Now I'm concentrating on regaining lost weight. My early morning breakfast consists of a half can of baked beans washed down with a cup of coffee. I'm

EGPA/CSS with Thymoma
HI all, One of my early CTs soon after diagnosis of EGPA/Churg-Strauss Syndrome was of the chest, to look at lungs, as I also had breathing problems (asthma, pneumonia). The radiologist report included a finding of a mediastinal mass - it appeared to be encapsulated and wrapped around my thymus. Thymoma
