Hi everyone, thanks so much for support and advice. It's been invaluable and given me the confidence to purchase vit b12. Could someone tell me which needles to use for intramuscular injections. Thank you

Happy to be here!
With everything that's been going on with my lung disease over the past few years, I often forget just how fortunate I am to still be here. In September 2003 I was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia at the age of 18. I was totally blindsided and the future looked bleak. The amazing treatments

Guidelines regarding getting your booster if you’ve had your third primary vaccine
I had my third primary vaccine in October, but because the system didn’t cope with such things, it was entered as a booster, with a note identifying it as a primary. With this latest announcement, does anyone know what we should be doing to get our boosters? As I had to chase my GP surgery to get the

Can anyone help me with hair loss?
The picture is from a hair wash this morning. It comes out in little clumps each time I rinse my hair. I have hypothyroidism and had my thyroid out 8 years ago. I take thyroxine 150mcg and have blood tests every 6 months to check my levels. I've been given ferrous sulphate 200mg and take this every day

Iron decreased after supplementation?!
After finding my ferritin levels were low as part of a full iron panel from Thriva in October (and on advice from my GP once she found out I am vegetarian), I started supplementing with liquid iron (15mg per day). After re-testing my iron panel 5 weeks later several of the results have got quite a bit

Life expectancy with MF
Hello, all. I was diagnosed with post ET MF in 2019, after having been diagnosed with ET jak 2 in 2008. In 2019, I had my second BMB where it was confirmed I had progressed to MF, intermediate 1. I had a third BMB last September to determine whether I was a candidate for a bone marrow transplant. At

Hair loss
Hi all. Hope everyone is well. Just looking for some advice and reassurance really. For the last few months I've noticed a lot and I mean a lot of hair loss. When showering drying and brushing. And even through the day when my hair is down. I was on ferrograd and vit d supplements until about 9 weeks

Anyone know about Globulin levels
Anyone had experience of “low globulin” count when having a blood test? Had my monthly Methotrexate blood test last Tuesday, the GP rang me Wednesday afternoon to say my globulin count was a bit low & with my “Rheumatoid factor”. Of course he didn’t explain what it was & when I asked what needed to be

Update
Hi All, just a quick update on my anaemia v erythrocytosis carryon! After 3 weeks of iron, I ended up with an HCT over .45, so was told to arrange a venesection which I did. Blood test 3 weeks later confirms HCT down to .37. Back to square one with tiredness, sores in mouth, etc for anaemia but I

Increasing self doses
After recent diagnosis and poor care from doctors, I am self injecting as I have said in a few previous posts. My plan was once every 2 weeks - boy I was wrong. Symptoms return like a total crash, really bad. I am now on 3 times a week just to keep the symptoms away, bearing in mind it takes 2 days from

Latest CBC is in, all good.
I'm happy about my neutrophils and platelets (both went higher) and I feel like I can safely go to have the third vaccine at the end of December (6 mo. after the second one) because the first two did not produce a marked increase in my ALC count. Neither did I have any node enlargement. Now I need to

Treating autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA)
Does anyone have autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA) along with your chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). I believe it occurs for around 10% of CLL patients. Any experience or knowledge about it would help. My Haptoglobin has gone from 39 in September to 14 this past week. As I understand it, when it

Iron /Ferritin Level and Menopause
Hello Everyone...Quick question. Is it necessary to test your iron and ferritin if you no longer have a menstrual cycle? The GP who is filling in for the regular GP stated that since I no longer have a period, that I could not be anemic due to low iron/ferritin. This does not make sense to me , so
