First bloods for a long while...
Hi all, Any thoughts on my recent bloods before I start supplementing. I do have FBC results too if relevant. TSH 1.94 (0.35-4.94mu/L) Folate 5.9 (2.7-15ug/L) Serum B12 186 (187-883ng/L) Ferritin 43 (23-300ug/L) Vit D 28 (50-120nmol/L) Unfortunately, I think I've taken my eye off the ball this last couple

Liver enzyme question.
I know there are lots of posts about the alt/ast ratio. I have spent more time than I care to admit reading about that damn ratio! I just wondered if anyone had any experience or educated opinions on an inverted ratio alongside low alk phos levels? I recently had bloodwork done and my AST was 21, ALT

Blood results & what do I tell my doctor?
Hi everyone. I've finally got some blood results that look more promising in terms of the fT3 and fT4 being in a better place through the range. The difference being I increased from 25mcg lio to 30mcg lio and take them a 3 x 10mcg at 6/7am, 2pm and 9pm. I feel this works quite well for me, its easy

Normal blood levels mean anything?
I generally have normal b12 levels in the 500-600 range but have symptoms that mimic b12 deficiency. Sometimes my folate levels are low and I supplement there but was wondering if b12 injections are the next step. My doctor did a parietal cell antibody test and that was high at 30 but mma was below

Anemia and Red Blood Shapes Results - Do They Mean Anything
Hi! I have had anemia for some time and take iron pills that keep what the doctors call stable anemia. My recent blood work had these other results that I have never had before. I realize that they relate to abnormal shapes of the red blood cells. I am just wondering if they matter. I did a little research

CD19 CAR-T cell therapy for B-ALL achieved remarkable efficacy with a complete remission of 70–90%
This looks interesting but way over my knowledge base. Perhaps some of you super brains can figure this out. In recent years, the increasing advancements and applications of cellular immunotherapy have enabled the use of chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapy, and it has emerged as an efficacious

Pernicious Anaemia Blood Tests
Hi, I'm looking at the Medichecks pernicious anaemia blood test, and I realise I've had most or all of these tested already and can post the results below. Can anyone help me interpret them please? I'm waiting for a GP call over the next couple of days, and was going to request a test to rule Pernicious

I posted two weeks ago here https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/147443854/reading-daughters-medicheks-results.-done-in-optimal-conditions. Some of you wanted Daughters results in a different format Since posting my daughters results, we’ve had a chat with our GP. She has agreed to prescribe

The difference between intrinsic factor antibody test and MMA
Hi all and thanks in advance for any help. I have long suspected I have a B12 problem even though my active B12 blood tests are showing ok. I understand that there are conditions that mask the deficiency and stop the B12 actually being absorbed (if I understand rightly). I have the autoimmune condition

Iron Bisglycinate versus Liquid Ferrous Sulfate
Hello oh wise ones. I’m constantly here lurking in the back and rereading posts to take info back to my doc. My doc has very little knowledge of RLS but she is very open to all your information so I’m eternally grateful. Been trying to up my ferritin for the last year. Started at 8 and now a year later

Is anyone able to help with my mum’s labs please
Hello all, She has Hashimoto’s which is well managed on glandulars and she feels well. Her thyroid labs are a little on the low side this time because she reduced her dose significantly having felt over-medicated previously but has since increased it slightly and hopes her next labs are better.
