Week 1 ✅ Shin Splints?
I have a feeling that I have
shin
splints
on the outside of my lower left leg. Any advice for running with it? It’s hard to fully extend my leg when I feel the heat pulsating in my lower leg. I can run through it when it’s 60 seconds but I’m not sure I’ll be able to transition to 90 seconds?

Another unique mystery about the liver.
Every now and again I like to post some interesting facts about this most wonderous organ. Those of you who have completed the two online liver courses, "Liver Disease: Looking after Your Liver" and "Liver Transplant: the Ins and Outs" will know of Dr Patricia Laylor. Back in 2017 Dr Laylor and I

W1 run 3 so much calf and shin pain
My calves hurt and I had
shin
splints
, so much so that I can bare another run! I run in cheap trainers but I can’t afford to spend loads on a pair, they’re just trainers I use for everyday walking etc as well. I also stretched before and after.

Shin splints?
I'm on week 8 and getting slight pain in my shins after runs. Anyone got advice about resting between runs? I normally have 2 or 3 days rest in between runs, but should I take a week off for shins to heal? Tips appreciated. Regards grant

Hi!+Thanks!+My journey to w6r3+Advice?
I also found this week that on the rest days I get
shin
splints
(and not just in my shins!) and one ankle feeling ‘sprained’ (I feel it on impact, although it’s absolutely fine during the runs). What’s going wrong? I don’t want this to go wrong!!!

New Trainers - not perfect but better....
Well, I got some new trainers and for reasons unknown my
shin
splints
were improved. Not perfect but I managed to finish W2R3. Anything terrain even slightly uphill was a bit of a struggle though. But I did it.

Dont like my penis
I've recently been dealing with alot of stress when it comes to my penis and around that area, I was born with a buried penis, sevre hypospadias and undeceding testicles. I've had everything fixed apart from my hypospadias. Although I've had some operations it still dosent look normal and never will,

Birthday shoes! A couple of years ago that phrase would have been accompanied by a very different photo 😉!
Having overcome injuries and
shin
splints
and finally got to the stage where my running legs don't go through the horrendous aches I once experienced, I was feeling more than a little cautious about a new pair of running shoes potentially throwing that progress completely out of the window (ah, that

8 days off
Felt
shin
splints
coming on so I've had a break, had gait analysis and found I am overpronating so have some new "special" trainers which I hope to try out tomorrow. I'm so nervous that either I'll have pain in my shins again or that I'll be absoluted b*ggered...

Start Running again after injury. Which week?
I completed C25K nearly 2mths ago and was running 30-40 mins 3 times a week for a month until 2 weeks ago when I got
shin
splints
. I'm only now ready to start running again but don't feel confident going straight back into 30 min runs.

Shin Splints
I think I have suspected
shin
splints
which is fun, I also looked at one of my shins today and noticed a bump. I could have knocked it at work but I don’t remember doing this. Anyway, after some googling it says to rest for two weeks.

Cracked nails
I would like to thank the person or persons who suggested to use Hard As Nails to help nails from cracking when using Imbruvica/Ibrutinib. I started using it and it is helping . I also found out that Vitry nail care for nail repair is also good but more expensive.

I reckon

Shin splints
Having completed couch to 5k I’ve developed really bad
shin
splints
and did my final run with them hurting and had to limp home. Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent. I think I need to invest in good running shoes but where do I start?

Week 6 run 2
It felt like running through mud at times with
shin
splints
thrown in. I don’t run fast and when legs were really sore I would slow it right down. I’m taking my rest days and stretching properly afterwards. What can I do to stop the pain :(

Ouch 😖😖
I am currently on week 3 run 2 but have been struggling with
shin
splints
since last week. They are so bad I am struggling with walking let alone running. I find this upsetting cause I have been really enjoying the runs. Anyone have any tips to deal with the condition?
