Hi! So I really can’t believe I’ve made it this far. My school report from my PE teacher said “...her cardiovascular fitness is a real cause for concern...”! And yes, I did cry after I finished week 5 run 3 (I was overcome with emotion that I had done it!)
I completed run 2 of week 6 today and I found it so tough. I recovered quickly on the walks, got my breath back and didn’t struggle catching my breath when I was “running”, but my legs! OUCH!! They hurt so much. It felt like running through mud at times with shin splints thrown in. I don’t run fast and when legs were really sore I would slow it right down. I’m taking my rest days and stretching properly afterwards.
What can I do to stop the pain

To avoid the pain in your legs run a little slower than you have been recently, from now on it's all non stop running for you.
Before your 3rd run of week 6, take a few extra days off running, drink plenty of water the day before you run and some just before, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself AND be OFFICIALLY a RUNNER.
