hello,

I started my c25k in June and only got as far as half way through week 3. I had to stop due to injury. I reckon shin splints im but I'm no expert. Anyway thats been almost a month since I stopped. Should I start the programme again from week 1?

Also does anyone have tips to avoid injury again? I'm pretty overweight with a bmi of 38. But I'm only 5ft. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum and well done on your decision.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

I would start again, minimise impact and gently condition your body to the rigours of running.

Enjoy your journey.

My suggestion would be to redo one run from week 1, then continue with week 2.

If they're now a doddle, that's a boost to your confidence. If they're not, you've found your level.

In my current attempt at this I did four runs in week 1 because I had a week between each of the first three runs.
