In the red zone and under pressure to be at work
I have been in my red zone for the last few days thanks to a colleague who passed on her cold which of course caused my asthma to flare up. Thanks to my new asthma nurse I now have abx and steroids on standby at home which I started taking when peak flow dropped. I have a three monthly review with her

Change in symptoms
I wonder if anyone here has had a similar experience - I've had asthma since I was 9 and really knew my asthma but about 4 years ago I had a bad chest infection and since then I get totally different symptoms. I've searched the internet and asked the asthma nurse but cannot find anything about having

how sleepy does amitriptyline make you?
I am on fluoxetine and have now been prescribed amitriptyline for pain relief, the fluoxetine is already helping me sleep better but as I have a stoma i'm worried the amitriptyline will make me too sleepy to wake if my stoma bag needs emptying. It's ok for the doctors to say try it but they are not the

Asthma & dairy/wheat
When I entirely cut out wheat and dairy from my son’s diet within 3-4 days his asthma clears up. I think dairy is a problem but not necessarily because it may be mucus forming but for some other as yet unknown reason. I would love to hear from people who have completely eradicated all wheat and dairy

Advice needed!!!! Things have changed for my son
He's been diagnosed with modarate-

asthma
after having over 45 admissions to hospital. He had a Bronchoscopy in December and a CT scan at the start of this year that showed things that were in line with this diagnosis.

Extended Asthma Issues
I also had a somewhat
severe
asthma
attack Sunday night which led me to coughing up a light yellow mucus (I apoligize for those who are squemish). After this attack my lungs felt oddly clearer and not in so much distress.
