Help hypoxia asthma?
hi 2.5 weeks ago i went into hospital for pre arranged spinal surgery, that went fine but ended up poorly and in icu straight after, then the respiratory ward for 10 days. I had ct scans and things and know my lungs aren’t normal and i’m awaiting further tests. I’m honestly confused at my discharge letter

Heatwave, asthma fine - day after asthma attack!
Weird or what? I was waiting for the heat to be an awful trigger for me and it wasn’t. Apart from being hot I felt ok, but the next day… asthma attack out of the blue! I happened to talk to my asthma nurse after the heatwave and told him my asthma was worse after the heat and he said it was the humidity

Asthma/ILO (also known as Vocal Chord Dysfunction) and Post Covid Breathing
Hi, I was diagnosed with asthma when I was 15, so over 23 years ago. I have always had an atypical presentation with more of a cough than a wheeze. My asthma has started to get worse over the past three or four years, with massive exacerbations since I had Covid in January. I have had three hospital

Steroid inhalers
Hi, I can’t use steroid inhalers, I have
severe
reactions to them, and 2 have actually given me an
asthma
attack, blue lights on the ambulance. No one believed me and 3 times I tried them and the same thing happened each time. I have tried numerous ones, each with a bad reaction.

Incruse Ellipta 55 (umeclidinium bromide)
I have a question about the Incruse Ellipta inhaler. It was written for me for the treatment of asthma, I read the leaflet and it says it is intended for the treatment of COPD. It worried me because I have asthma and not COPD. Have any of you been prescribed this asthma inhaler? Thanks for all the

Symbicort
My asthma started when my mum died: 6 years later I’m on Symbicort twice a day. I blamed my rhinitis on long term steroids ( I have PMR) and productive cough on long term Covid, but as I no longer have any asthma symptoms I dropped the evening Symbicort and am now wondering about stopping it altogether

4th surgery
Hernia and post Ovarian surgery. Hi everyone, I had Ovarian cancer surgery Aug 2019 which included the bowel being scraped, the tumour had attached itself to the bowel, followed by 6 rounds of chemo. Easter 2019 had a bowel blockage, it cleared with fasting and intravenous fluids. Another blockage

The joy of the unclear diagnosis 😂
I used to be active when I was being treated for
severe
asthma
. I used to routinely end up in hospital for basic chest infections, and struggled with chest aching and tightness.

GORD and asthma
Anyone else here with GORD and asthma? I have both and a lot of the time I'm breathless and fatigued. I had a gastroscopy today and nothing showed up. The Consultant declared 'Good news!' but I had been hoping there was something wrong like an ulcer, that I could work on and be well again. She did take

Lung Pain
Hey guys, I have
Severe
Asthma
which is extremely well controlled with Xolair and oral meds. I haven't had an attack in over 2 years since starting Xolair or any symptoms other than a couple of chest infections. I even caught COVID this year and got away without any impact on my breathing.
