I don't know if one is more severe than the other. With COPD I understand that you eventually die from it, but it takes a long time .Whereas with asthma you can live a long life, but of course you can have an attack and not survive

I have asthma and I always have a reliever next to my bed, in my handbag and a spare in the cupboard

I'm sure someone will come along with far more knowledge than me, but whatever ,you need to take great care of yourself, and always have a positive attitude

Hi, I would imagine COPD is constant whereas asthma should be under control. Just wondering how you were diagnosed with COPD . What was different from your asthma symptoms ?The reason I ask is that my asthma has changed in the last year.

My reply is not much help, sorry .

COPD is worse. I worked in medical field before being disabled. I have both asthma and copd. And asthma can be treated when you find the right med for it. COPD never gets better. I'm on oxygen and I now have no immune system because of COPD. It will kill me sooner or later.Take the meds the doctor gives you. Go to a lung doctor. They are specialized in treating COPD.
