I have a question about the Incruse Ellipta inhaler. It was written for me for the treatment of asthma, I read the leaflet and it says it is intended for the treatment of COPD. It worried me because I have asthma and not COPD. Have any of you been prescribed this asthma inhaler? Thanks for all the answers. Best regards and good health.

I’ve been taking Incruse for my asthma for 3 years. I take it along with my steroid inhaler. It is a preventer. Works well for me!

Your new inhaler belongs to a group of medications called long acting muscarinic antagonists (LAMA). These are now licensed to treat asthma aswell as COPD. It works by relaxing the muscles of the airways.

I've been on two different LAMA inhalers, the first gave me high blood pressure and the second raised my eye pressure (glaucoma - low angled canal drainage). I've just been very unlucky with the side effects as many asthmatics don't get any and enjoy good results from their LAMA inhalers. I would recommend having your BP and eye health checked now and to repeat the checks in 12 months, just to ensure nothing had changed.

I want to stress again that many asthmatics enjoy excellent results with their LAMA inhaler and don't experience any side effects.

Encruse really helped my asthma but then my pulse got very irregular and I stopped taking it; too bad because it really helped.
