I thought my appointment would be with a rheumatologist consultant but it was the final 4pm slot last Thursday (ie day before bank holiday) and the staff on duty looked far from enthusiastic to see me. I started to doubt it would go well when I saw quite a few urine samples including mine chucked

Very unusual for me blood test results. Any ideas of what would explain it?
In December 2022 I was prescribed antibiotics. I didn't want to take these because of concern for my kidneys, and even told my doctor. The result was I had a pretty bad stomach reaction, which turned into something like an IBS flareup. I'm not sure, because there are still a few tests to take. I

Brief update on my lower Intestinal Tract Capsule Endoscopy.
Just to let you know that the procedure went fine. Although the camera was a little larger than an Omega 3 high strength capsule, I found that with the right mindset I swallowed it easily. The staff were a little disconcerted about my long term steroid use and the possibility of an adrenal crisis and

I went to my Drs 3 weeks ago and gave a urine sample, I haven’t received any medication to deal with this even though my gp sent an electronic prescription to Lloyds direct yet they werent informed that it had been sent to them. I had to ring Lloyds to inform them that a prescription had been sent to

Fluid in fallopian tube
Hi everyone, I’m about to start my 5th and final round of IVF following 4 months of Prostap. I had a saline scan with my fertility clinic in December and they said there is possibly fluid in my 1 fallopian tube. I had a laparoscopic myomectomy in August to remove endometriosis and fibroids. My gynae

Still no diagnosis Following Syncope!
Hi, just over a year ago I collapsed whilst driving. Miraculously my wife brought the car to a halt and we are still here to tell the tale. Since then, I have had every test you could imagine and a loop recorder fitted last March which has picked up about four episodes of AT and VT, mostly when I am

Bone Marrow and blood cells
My husband has been in the hospital for a week. He had been struggling to eat and drink due to nausea. His oncologist had him come in and they gave him a liter of saline and sent him home. We are rural and live an hour from the oncologist and any hospitals. When we got home that evening, it took him

Help with Bronchiectasis flare up.
Bronchiectasis I suffer from Bronchiectasis and asthma. This last few weeks I have had much more mucus than usual. I work hard with nebuliser using saline and can get rid of it, but I just keep producing more. No sign of any infection. Sometimes I feel as if I am drowning. There is no sign of

protein/creat ratio
Hello. Recently received my test results for protein/creat ratio. It’s pretty high at 526. I need to go get 24h urine test now. Has anyone gone through this?? Can protein come back down? It should be somewhere between 0-200mg. I had the test done 5 years ago and regularly at that. It was around 60

Depressed because of my breathing issues. I don't know where to go from here...
My breathing issue started atleast 2 years and 10 months ago. I was in the kitchen, and i remember i exhaled and heard a crackly sensation coming from my throat. Did not think much of it, but as time went on, it got worst, and i was able to pin point it to my left lung. After trying so many medications

I have begun Doxycycline rescue pack. Is it ok to continue with Azithromycin?
I have begun the rescue pack. Should I continue taking my three times a week Azithromycin? Or not take it whilst taking the Doxycycline? Advice please, especially from those with experience of taking Azithromycin etc. BIG thank you for all who replied to my previous question concerning the saline

High AST/SGOT
My husband has been very nauseous and struggling to eat or drink. We are currently at his oncologist’s office where my husband is getting saline because he is so dehydrated. They ran blood tests and is AST/SGOT is 64. A few weeks ago it was 34. Would this mean the cancer is now possibly in his liver

Sterile until opened.I had several boxes over from last year. I feel such an idiot. It never occurred to me to check

What next?
You know it's bad if a doctor comes to find you on a ward. Hubby's kidneys now working at about 15%, liver in bad way, hospital have started regular albumin and saline as he's badly dehydrated. They're telling him he shouldn't come home as treatment can only be given IV in hospital, will monitor things
