Pain in lower left abdomen - Diverticulitis/IBS? Please help
Hi, I have a nasty nagging pain in the lower left side of my stomach. I've had it for 2 weeks with horrible diahorrea. Last Friday I was prescribed antibiotics for diverticulitis but they haven't worked. I've been cold and shivery and felt really poorly since this all began. I went back to see a different

Getting Diagnosis already made accepted by the NHS and recorded on records, is proving to be very difficult indeed.
I went to see Dr Peatfield many years ago before he retired and was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid. I got a prescription from him since he was registered then and take Nature Thyroid every day 3 grains and Nutri Adrenal and Nutri Thyroid. The thing is a long time ago we showed our NHS Doc the

Adding levo. to NDT.
Hi, I am presently taking 1.5 grains NDT. I have gradually increase but cannot get further than 1.5 grains. Previously I was taking 125mcg. levo. and felt O.Kish but my Doctor kept altering my dose according to my TSH. and when she reduced to 100mcg. I felt worse. I did the Genova 24 hour urine test

first chemo problems
I had my first chemo on Friday. I had carboplatin and taxol and spent the whole weekend being sick. I spent yesterday in hospital on a saline drip while they tried different anti emetics. I'm really concerned because I am on weekly taxol so I reacted that badly to half a dose. Is it likely to get worse

I've got answers!!!
If you have been supporting from anxiety please read this whole post. I told myself if I ever found answers I would do everything I could to share them with people who suffer too. I have always believed through my experience with anxiety and through research that anxiety isn't a cause, it is a result

Kidney issues anyone's?
Well the doctor informed me earlier that my kidney function was a bit off. They didn't let me go home today. They want to wait until tomorrow. I told them that I've hardly eaten or drank since Sunday so isn't it normal? Also they found some protein and blood in my urine? I don't mind staying in hospital

X-ray results
Hi, I had an X-ray on 1st November on my cervical spine (neck) due to neck pain. I phoned my GP practice today and my results are back but a doctor hasn't seen them yet so they have scheduled for a doctor to call me tomorrow to discuss results. Surely they would only do this if there was an issue or

An apology, and a question about sublingual?
I would 1st like to apologise for a rant I made a little while ago concerning taking lots of different supplements (potassium, D3, et al). I was confused and all I really wanted was to feel better, rather than chasing my tail wondering what I should be taking? I have now been able to get Jarrow 1000

Anxiety Tips
I have been suffering from anxiety for the past 6 months. It came out of nowhere and it has been the worst experience of my life. Through this challenge, I have tried a lot of things to take away my suffering. Some things have helped and some have not. I figured it would be helpful to many people to

On MTX and anxious..
On week 6 of MTX. Just went up to 20mg last week. Doing quite well but GP has asked for urine sample now as well as bloods. Receptionist didn't say whether this is normal or because last test showed something suspicious. Any advice from those further on? Thanks xx

Apixaban concerns
Diagnosed 2 weeks ago with AF and started Apixaban a week ago. Two days later noticed blood in urine and had lower stomach pain ( have got a couple of tiny kidney stones which are annually checked). GP said to stop Apixaban and sent off urine sample to check if I had UTI and meantime put me on antibiotic

Methylmalonic acid tests
Have just been looking around at various B12 and B12-related tests. Was surprised to see both blood and urine tests for MMA. Any opinions on whether one is in any way better than the other? (Apart from the obvious of ease of sample collection.)

Hi would appreciate advice on hypertonic nebulisers. Is it something that is routinely prescribed in adult patients with PCD? I have been on nebulised antibiotic therapy along with atrovent for many years. Just wondering whether I would benefit by adding hypertonic saline nebs pre physio? Many thanks
