Sorry to bother you all on christmas eve but ive been given predisilone 30mg for 6 days and when ever i have it i get a tight chest. Just wondering if anyone else gets it and if so does a ventolin(inhaled or neb) or saline help or vitamins or food? Just wondering as it happens eveytime i need it.

Hi Wartonk, my GP has Prednisolone on my repeat prescription along with my abs, & the reason I take it is to prevent having a tight chest.
I find it eases the tightness. I expect everyone is different. Maybe have a chat with your doctor after the holidays.

I would agree with Jessy & sassy. For me the tight chest is one of the things that tells me there is a problem. Salamol (Ventolin) helps a bit & I tend to use it a bit more but try to stick to 2 inhalations every 4 hours, max. More frequently than that is not a good idea, for me at least.
