Pancreas causing B12 deficiency?
All my test results from gastroenterologist were complete just before Christmas but Im frustratingly still waiting for him to get in touch despite having called his office several times. I was referred with suspected malabsorption issues including B12 deficiency and bowel trouble. Colonoscopy and biopsies

Having to go off NDT after several years and back on levo only - how to explain it?
It contains holy basil, ashwangdha, rhodiola rosea and L-
serine
, along with vits B, C and selenium. Since I started it, I notice feeling less agitated and I can now fall asleep at night and sleep through the night.

I was wrong
Good morning friends 😊 I wanted to post a quick update in regards to that super long post I made about my breast implants and thinking they were causing all my issues. I had them deflated in November and am scheduled for surgery to remove the shells on January 20th. After a lot of research and a zillion

Beta results!
So today was my 12dp5dt so went for my beta bloods test. I was told they’d be happy with anything over 150, but mine was only 47. 😔 They are repeating bloods on Wednesday n hoping they double by then. She did say it could be late implanting or a pregnancy that has stopped progressing. I took a urine

Really constipated
I have lately been going 4-5 days without a BM. Today is day 5. My wife wanted to go to the beach, so I took her. Around 1pm I told her I needed to get back to our unit to take care of business. She knows it's day 5. I tried to dissuade her, but she insisted on coming back. I took a TBSP of castor oil

Why is there so much gunk in my lungs?!
When my asthma is really bad (normally in the winter time) I have so much productive mucous, it’s really gross tbh. I seem to end up with back to back chest infections as it’s really difficult to shift. I wake up every morning rattling and try to avoid coughing because every time I start coughing it

B12 and Diclofenac
I have recently, reluctantly, been using a diclofenac gel for a painful foot. Looking up diclofenac to check various things, I noticed this paper. I had not previously considered B12 to be an analgesic! (Though well aware of the neuropathy issues that a deficiency can cause.) And I was surprised by

Experience with Low potassium Anyone?
I'm not sure if I should post here but I will give it a try. My mother and I both have hypokalemia. She requires blood tests every 90 days to monitor it. Other than treating the low potassium no investigation has been done. A little over a year ago I started wasting potassium. Sometimes in a matter of

L-serine
I have read that there were positive research results using the amino acid L-
serine
in the treatment of ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease and that this may also help in Parkinsons amongst others. I have no info regarding dosage and wondered if anyone here knows anything about it.

I'm new.. This is my story.. Pneumonia, sepsis and empyema
Just wanted to share my story for a bit of self therapy! Just reflecting and getting things out... I appreciate I have been lucky and some people have had the same infection and had to overcome much more than me. However it has still been a traumatic experience. I am 33, fit and healthy. On November

Mortified
Had a blood test today to check for genital herpes, I’m 53, been through menopause, been with my lovely bloke for 9 months. This sore patch appeared, plus cystitis type symptoms- urine test was clear. Can this just appear out of the blue? Have I got to tell previous partners? I’m mortified!

A conundrum for use v. non-use of specific amino acids in muscle atrophy and immune support for CLL patients
It is recognized that glucose is the primary “fuel” for glycolysis metabolism of cancerous cells, but that if a patient avoids glucose [sugars] to lessen the speed of growth of CLL cells, the CLL cells may likely adapt to metabolizing amino acids such as glutamine or
serine
for its fuel needed for cell

MMA Testing Protocol Advice
Hell all, this is my first time posting. For years, prior to taking B12 supplements and despite deficiency symptoms (tingling limbs and extremities, malnourished, lethargic, pale, skinny fat), I have had over the range Folate and Vit B12 bloodwork levels. I ordered a MMA urine test for myself. I was
