pco fertility clinic referral
hello, I’m 29 and have been diagnosed with PCO / possible PCOS. I do not have regular periods, 2/3 a year. I have a thin lining and low progesterone. I’ve done numerous bloods and looks like I am not ovulating on my own. I’m currently taking metformin but starting at only 1/2 a tablet a day as I really

iron test results help please
I must admit that even after a few years, while I mostly understand my thyroid test results, my iron tests continue to confuse me - I just can’t seem to get my head around the significance of the different parts. So I wondered if someone who actually understands could please explain in really simple

NDT Named Patient basis
Hello everyone. I'm just seeking an update: Is NDT still only prescribed on NHS on a named patient basis? I was listening to the interview of Lynn last year and there was talk this may no longer be required. Am thinking of moving GP surgeries as its barely functioning but don't want to jinx my NHS NDT

First FET - what grade embryo?
Hi all We’re due to begin our first FET next month. We have 5 embryos frozen. Some average, some good quality. In our initial consultation I asked what grade embryo would be transferred, worst or best. We were told the best will be transferred first. We’re grateful to be in this position, however

Update #10: The Adrenal Gateway
Hello 👋 Following on from my previous update here: https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149797821/9-thyroid-hormones-introduced-i-can-finally-tolerate-t3 I have had some bloods back. I also found I am clear for adrenal antibodies 🎉 so I don’t have Addison’s. In 2022 on 88 T4, 10 T3 [u][

"Real Thyroid"
Regard all. I've been treating hypothyroid for many years with Thyroid S (Thailand). I am seeing a new NDT called "Real Thyroid" from Vietnam. I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. I'm not finding any reviews when I search for them. Love to hear from anyone who uses this or has

T4 in Levo v T4 in NDT
Taking NDT I have often wondered how long the T4 in NDT starts to work and how. In Levo everyone states six weeks before it starts to work. Does anyone have a clue it could be interesting but I cannot find any information on it.

Having an op and NHS freaking out about suppressed TSH
I am having a very minor op under general anaesthetic and NHS have revealed suppressed TSH (0.024). They are basically refusing to operate until I get a Dr to say this is ok in the presence of normal T3 (5.2) and T4 (14.8). The problem is I self medicate with levothyroxine (50mcg daily) and one grain

T3 / NDT
Hi - I'm 39 and have had hashimotos / under active thyroid for 10+ years. I have suffered from 3 miscarriages recently + had 2 poor quality / outcome IVF egg retrievals. I'm on 100mg of levothyroxine, TSH is in range (around 2) but T3 is really at the bottom of the range. I don't think I'm converting

Anyone out there in south Essex recently had NDT removed by their endocrinologist
I'd like to contact anyone else in the same area and situation as myself as I have recently had my NHS Armour prescription removedly a new endocrinologist. Please pm me if you're in this boat. I need T3 and it seems I may get Levo + Lio - anyone taking this instead of NDT with success? I am so scared

Spotting for four days now - is it all over?
I’m 6 weeks today and this is day 4 of on and off brown / pink spotting. Until this morning it had all been pretty light but this morning I had a more heavy episode which has now stopped as soon as it started so I’m so confused! My clinic said earlier in the week just to keep taking meds and up my

NDT, Stress, Heart Palps - Now What?
Hi All, I switched to NDT from levo around a month ago. I started to feel better on NDT right away and my TSH dropped from 3.1 to 0.7 within just 2 weeks. My Ts were still balancing - T4 was right at the bottom and T3 was only 24% through the range. I supplement with all the key nutrients and keep

First unsuccessful transfer
Hello all I’ve just joined this wonderful group hoping to feel less alone in this journey. If anyone is out there who can provide some advice I would most appreciate it right now. Our story: We’ve been trying almost 2 years to conceive our second child. Our son was conceived naturally after 1 month

Awful night sweats: hyper, hypo, other - update
Hi. 13 days ago I posted about horrid night sweats https://healthunlocked.com/thyroiduk/posts/149807088/awful-night-sweats-hyper-hypo-other The correct name is generalised hyperhidrosis as the sweats are all over, not just palms, armpits, etc. Back particularly sweaty. This has continued and is affecting

Progesterone
Has anyone ever used their progesterone pessaries during a normal/natural cycle to try and conceive? Not saying this is something I would do but definitely am intrigued. I have lots of pessaries left and wondered if I just took them after normal ovulation and trying to conceive ‘naturally’ 🫠would
